Found the premises easily and parking wasn’t a problem. Receptionist cheerful and friendly, went through several eye tests with an assistant that were all well explained and not difficult to complete. When I saw Dr McAllister he was very patient and was happy to have my wife join the consultation so we would both understand my options. I asked a lot of questions which were all answered clearly and left in no doubt what was needed as treatment for my eyes. Highly recommend this practice , nice staff, Dr McAllister is patient and thorough.

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FINAL OUTCOME!! I was referred to Eyes Matter by Specsavers Carindale. I attended the initial appointment with Eyes Matter, where I was subjected to various testing. I was diagnosed with Keratoconus in the right eye. I was then advised that a hard contact lens would improve my eyesight. I under went a vision test & the results were outstanding. With the assistance of a hard contact lens, I had 20/20 vision in the right eye. I was delighted with the outcome & committed to purchasing the hard contact lens; $900, which didn’t include the Medicare gap payment. I returned weeks later for the fitting. When the hard contact lens was placed in the eye, it was blurry, with no apparent difference. I under went another vision test & the script for the hard contact lens was altered. I returned weeks later to experience the same results. I was told it would take weeks for my eye to get use to the hard contact lens & I was assured things would improve, however they didn’t. I under went another vision test & was advised that my sight in the right eye had improved due to wearing the hard contact lens. The results promised were not the results I was experiencing & there was no noticeable difference at all. In fact, the whole process was a waste of time & money. I feel lied to, disappointed & financially out of pocket. Since my experience with Eyes Matter, I have visited with a reputable optometrists, who prescribed glasses that have made a significant difference to the vision in my right eye, at a fraction of the cost.

I would not trust anyone besides Dr McAlister with my eyes. He makes you feel relaxed and safe. He knows his s@#t and is honest. Good location and all the staff are so lovely and welcoming

Had my cornea transplant and laser surgery done by Dr James McAlister with the help of all the excellent staff that i have seen over the years. If you got eye problems please do your self a favour and visit EyesMatter!!!

Writing for a family member. Came here for an eye condition and was prescribed strong medication. When this resulted in heavy side effects, the prospect of stronger medication and surgery was discussed. Out of concern for eyes, sought a second opinion from an ophthalmologist. This doctor strongly disapproved of the suggested protocol and helped resolve the condition without drugs or surgery. Felt like a narrow escape.

The service, and professionalism given by Associate Professor James McAllister is absolutely the best. Would thoroughly recommend for all eye problems!!

Dr McAllister and the team are fantastic ! Treated my eye issue, and were extremely friendly and explained it to me frankly.  Thank you for your help.

The care and attention given to me by James and his team was amazing. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needed eye care.

Great place, it's really state of the art, and also the doctor is really friendly apart from being really professional. Highly recommended.
