5/1/23 It's hardly "gold class". The seats look and feel as though they've been used as scratching pads by a 100-strong cat colony. Due to an over enthusiastic cooling system, we were all cold during the film and shivering as we left. It didn't feel like good value at $40 per head. Time for an overhaul.
Went again after there was finally a movie out, since they don't release them like they used to. Got the date night package. Food = Amazing. Get the chocolate brownie sunday! Service = very good! Venue = someone forgot to turn on the AC.. By halfway through the movie, it was a sauna and was drowning in the chair...
Cinema is great but food was a let down this time. Below average. Previous time I thought the food was pretty good. Maybe a difference between the A chef and the C chef. At the other end of the scale, where the toilet seat meets the bowl could do with a good clean. Somewhat yucky.
Overall a pretty good cinema, definitely one of the better ones. A few issues here and there like the AC not working a couple of times or food/drinks not coming out at the right time in gold class, but they always make it right and I've never had a bad experience with the staff here so I do highly recommend it for consistency and quality of service
The movie house is dated. The seats are old and some are clearly damaged. Didn't feel very clean, a little gritty to be honest. Event should not allow people to put their feet up on the back of chairs with their shoes on. It's disgusting and put me off going to the movies, I'd rather stay in and stream.
I thought I would try the Gold Class finally and it was the most underwhelming experience ever. Seats were not comfortable than the recliners in Vmax theaters. Sound system was one of the really bad ones I have every experienced. I really like the Event cinemas and going there regularly for all the movies - just not the gold class.
Always a good selection of viewing times. Popcorn can be hit and miss because sometimes it's so insanely salty. Price of tickets is forever increasing too which sucks as we now go less. Staff generally not very friendly
Just wait for the movie to come to streaming service. Way cheaper and more comfortable. How do they justify these prices.
Gold class Albany event your food is shocking. The chips were warm and un salted and your margareta pizza tasted like a really cheap and nasty microwave pizza. Not worth the money.
Always good - would be more efficient if they reduced prices on snacks to a reasonable level so that people would actually buy there instead of sneaking outside snacks in.
