A lovely restaurant in the suburb. We visited for our Valentine’s Day dinner and opted for the five-course set menu, which was absolutely delicious. The sweet corn tortelli, porchetta, and lemon & basil panna cotta were all beautifully cooked and thoughtfully presented. The staff were warm, attentive, and welcoming, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We look forward to returning soon to try more of their dishes.
Food is very full in flavour, maybe just a little too much so, in the way that every dish is very salty. After two very salty entry dishes, I had to ask for an exchange of again a very salty pasta. Then I was told that particular dish couldn’t be made less salty because of the cured duck and cheesy sauce, so we changed to a red sauce based pasta which again was very salty. The staff said in a seemingly very polite way that they found most Chinese customers found the dishes very salty. I was not sure what to think of that but it did make me slightly uncomfortable.nOctopus is delicious but again the dressing is extremely salty. Tiramisu and the zucchini salad are awesome.nAtmosphere is nice as we like cosy settings although it may get crowded and noisy.
What a hidden gem. The restaurant was recently hatted and it’s easy to see why. I think many don’t review it to keep it a neighbourhood secret. You feel like you’re dining in Italy from the regional dishes to the curated wine list. The service is top notch, knowledgeable and attentive. Portion sizes are between family sized and refined, generous for the price point. The restaurant is not over priced. Homemade pasta to die for. We now have a handful of very good Italian in the area, and I think this one shines brightly above the rest. Can’t wait to be back and try the rest of the pasta dishes and that pork chop we didn’t have room for.
Lovely little gem out of the inner city hustle serving up the experience Melbourne is known for. Beautifully designed inside, and the food is exceptional. Service was a little slow at first but eventually very attentive. We had the Tasmanian oysters, anchovies with burratina and focaccia, crab, seafood pasta and the chicory salad the salad was the standout for me! It was fresh and zesty with a fantastic vinaigrette.nnLovely wines and cocktails. A splurge, but worth it.
$62.00 for that fish??? NO crispy skin.nnSalty Octopus ... very cool toilets.nnGood cheese platter and awesome desserts ...nnI'm so glad that I BYO the Pinot Noir ... fair charge $25.00/bottle.
