From the moment I walked into Emmikins I knew I had chosen the right centre for my children. The carers spoke to my child like I do! Imagine having such consistency of care to promote their learning and understanding in those early years!! The carers get to know the families and I was surprised how quickly the pick on each individual child’s wants and needs even from the smallest comfort measures. They are extremely observant dispute being surrounded by other children. Great radios for the children means they always have the care they need. And time for cuddles or just to sit on their knee. The food my kids often having two serves of a cooked lunch, and the centre will share the recipe with the families sometimes because they know everyone loved it! My oldest has now been through babies, toddlers and kinder rooms and I cannot speak more highly of the centre! Also with fantastic external music and sports programs that visit the centre each week the kids are always actively learning! The carers, teachers, management don’t miss a beat! Keep it up guys! What an Emmikins community you have built! We are also expecting so make room for another little lady joining the Emmikins community next year
Emmikins is an outstanding daycare with amazing staff. They took my anti-social pandemic baby in the middle of lockdown, and nurtured her to become the happy outgoing toddler she is today. The staff are really caring and experienced and genuinely care about the kids. Beth is the director, and picked up my daughter from box hill emergency department when we had a relative admitted unexpectedly. The staff consistently go above and beyond and the kids are incredibly well cared for. Emmikins is a wonderful choice and actively works with children and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for all involved.
We deliberately chose a small centre when thinking about care for our daughter and have never regretted our decision to choose Emmikins. Beth is very responsive and has worked incredibly hard to put together a great team. The educators are fantastic - my child feels really nurtured but also stimulated by the program on offer. Thank you Emmikins!
All three of my children have loved being at Emmikins. My two boys are now teenagers but still have fantastic memories of their time and still have friends from when they were here. My daughter is just leaving after 5 wonderful years from 9 months old. Everyone who works there knows her name, they’ve made it possible for her to bloom socially with her friends in the secure atmosphere they create for the kids. They know how to bring out the best in her and she comes home telling me about all sorts of things she’s learned like continents or singing “We are Australia”. They have so many activities reaching the kids through play. As a working mum I’ve never had to worry about her safety, well-being or happiness. Her teachers communicate well and support all our efforts from potty training onwards. Beth the owner makes all the kids feel special, they all love her. My three kids are all going to school now but if I had my time again I’d send them to Emmikins.
Beth and her team treat the kids like family and it really shows in the closeness of my daughter’s relationship with Beth and her carers at Emmikins. Beth goes the extra mile for the children with different ideas for Christmas gifts and even went to the trouble of providing hand knit beanies one winter. I would highly recommend Emmikins to other families.
I could not recommend Emmikins highly enough. Such a wonderful, warm, passionate, and caring team of educators with the best interests of my daughter at the very core of everything they do. I have sent my daughter to four day-care and kindergarten establishments due to family moving/relocation and I can say by far and without a doubt that Emmikins stands above each of them in terms of quality of the programme, engagement with the children, and the outstanding facilities healthy kitchen, learning opportunities, multiple outdoor play areas, multiple indoor play rooms, personalized care and approach - list goes on. Beth and the team have such a fantastic approach and genuinely care for each child and their own personalities, uniqueness, and what makes them, them. It's extremely heart warming. I would also especially mention Sarah, one of the educators at the centre who was responsible during my daughter's time at Emmikins in the kindergarten programme. Sarah always provided comprehensive reports, feedback, and worked collaboratively with me as a parent to ensure my daughter received the best foundation learning, and that she had fun while doing it. Each day I ask how my daughter's day was and she always recollects fondly of her time at the centre. I can't thank the team enough for their love, care, and kindness - particularly through COVID19 - where the programme continued with take-home packs and video calls to ensure children didn't fall behind and could stay connected with the other children and educators. Absolutely fantastic experience and I can confidently recommend Emmikins to any parent currently searching for a place to send their young ones - don't look further, you've found the right place!
A caring environment that have dedicated and loving staff. The children are provided to with an abundance of opportunities including play based learning. My little one loves learning baby yoga.
I am writing this review in particular for those parents of babies born during these covid times and the additional anxiety for both parents and babies! that transition to childcare can bring. My littlie had barely spent time out of the home and never with other carers...Beth and the Emmikins babies room team provided extra care, support and cuddles to make our littlie's transition easier and she already loves going. My pre schooler has also been attending Emmikins since 2018 and she has excelled in this community of learning, play and friendships. Highly recommend!
As a working full time Mother my choice in childcare was critical. Like every Mother , I was handing over my most precious children into the care of someone else. For me it was crucial that my children be safely cared for , loved and not just a number. I looked at home care options , strangers coming in and out of the homes, household accidents, car travel and for me the risks were to high. I needed a centre that engaged with my children, loved my children, had set programs in place that encouraged their early learning and a place where my children felt they belonged. I remember seeing many centres around the area , some had amazing facilities but the staff did not interact with the children, in fact some centres did not know the children's names . I remember touring Emmikins, the staff genuinely loved the children, they were celebrating Chinese New Year and the kids has dumplings to try,alternative, foods were given to the little ones with allergies. They had learnings about what they were celebrating and it was lovely . Both my children were enrolled and we started our six year journey with Emmikins. Emmikins is a community, a beautiful place to belong for a child and a parent . I was fully informed on both my children's journey. Photos, reports and open dialogue with the staff made this such a special time . Hot days , sprinklers were on in the playground it was like a waterpark , the chickens and pets , the musical bands , Kelly sports , Singing , dancing , celebrations , different menus often my kids were quite unhappy when I turned up to go home . A great kinder program and both my children started school well ahead of educational requirements. Emmikins was the home away from home , the kids were listened to , their personalities embraced, they were hugged , loved and cared for by the staff . I will be forever grateful for our time at Emmikins, not only a centre who cares, but a centre that stands out from the rest . Lifetime friendships were made , for the kids, and us as parents. My children were cared for and invested in. The kids were happy. I highly recommend this centre.
Our kids have been to a few different Childcare centres, Emmikins is the best with caring educators and great covid management. We love this ELC. Highly recommended.
