Interestingly here in Australia, the idea of a Spanish omelette is not even remotely close to what a real Spanish omelette is. That said, my "Spanish" omelette and coffee at Elefant Lounge Cafe were delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive so I'll definitely drop by again if I'm in the area.
Cosy lounge with dark bamboo panelling. Friendly attentive staff and a delicious meal and coffee. Perfect location right next to the train station if you need a meal before or after a visit to the city or a walk along the local beach. You can sit and watch the local action from the bank of windows.
Nice little cafe with friendly staff. I had a nice grilled vegetarian sandwich. Iced chocolate looked delicious. Outdoor seating available if you are looking to warm up in the sun while you have breakfast.
Great little spot for Breakfast or Brunch right next to the Sandringham Train Station and just minutes walk form the beach. The breakfast menu is awesome, very difficult to make a decision. They make a good cup of coffee and service is great.
Owners have changed not long ago. I used to come here just for the beaut croissant with smashed avo, bacon & egg for $14.50. Now brekkie menu is somewhat more limited & prices have upped but still good. However smashed avo with egg & bacon not quite the gourmet flavour as previously. Retains the nice ambience & friendly service. Very close to train station and near the beach. Was here a few weeks ago on a Sat.
Best coffee in Sandringham village. Small coffee is 2 dollars between 7 and 8 am Mon to Fri. Great for train catchers. Very cosy, quiet atmosphere, not as busy as other cafe's in the area. Very quick coffee making and service too
I stopped here for coffee and lunch with friends and got a good experienced from lovely staff members and owner. I ordered beef burger and mocha and it was so lovely. I asked for extra hot and I got the right temperature. Staffs are so attentive and friendly. I really recommend this place to stop by.
We used to live locally and went here ALL the time and it.was amazing no matter what you had. We got to know the owners and it became like getting together with family. We decided to go back last week and checked the.closing time to ensure we could get there from the city. The.place was closed with plastic covering all the doors and windows, apparently for renovation. It was very disappointing esp as we had detoured considerably to get there. The website is still up with photos of the previous owners and nothing to suggest the business has changed hands or closed.
Amazing coffee! Best soy milk used here!
food was okay... but its a little uncomfortable as all the wait staff just stare at you as soon as you are not looking at your food. When you look up to look around the cafe or outsides, you cant help but make eye contact unwillingly with some or all wait staff and then are approached asking if you want anything... yes i do want something... some privacy.
