Gorgeous flowers and great activities available. Love the attention to details such as a bubble machine on one cozy nook and gnomes hidden along the pathways. Truly a gem hidden in the city!
Awesome gardens, cafe and lovely shop brimming with great artisan made gifts. My @calligraphycandlesnz personalized candles stocked there.
This is one of Auckland’s hidden treasures - an amazing set of gardens on the slopes of Maungawhau/ Mt Eden. Well worth the price of admission and a really tranquil space in the city but away from the hustle and bustle.
The gardens are 5 star. Beautiful, so well maintained. High tea more like a 3. Only one of each thing - and they are really tiny. Really could have done with another small sandwich or scone, especially for $45ph. The scones are divine. Next time would just get tea/scones and pay the $12 entry.
One of the best kept secrets in Auckland. Beautiful gardens and peaceful tea room/cafe.
Beautiful gardens, plants and flowers, Busy on a Friday morning until you make the Hilary Climb. Neat to find a Southern Hemisphere Sundial, sad that it is shaded by many trees.
A gem of a location that is known by too few people. As well as extensive tracks through themed plantings and areas, there's a very agreeable cafe. They also have rooms for hire for your function or off-site planning day. The gardens are a magnet for tui and kereru so that makes a visit even more special. Check it out and help spread the word.
We had High Tea at Eden Gardens on a Saturday morning - the booking process was easy, tea was served promptly when we arrived and the food came out shortly after. The outdoor setting was fantastic and we really enjoyed our time walking in the beautiful gardens afterwards. Highly recommend.
If had minus stars would use those. Went bridal shower high tea on Saturday. Served inedible food. Sandwiches so stale bread was hard, scones like rock cakes, cream and jam on same dish, no butter. Savouries looked old and think macaroons purchased at Costco. Not one of 20 people came out of there and said food was good. No water available or offered. Staff not very welcoming. Been several high teas and definitely worse by far and for that reason incredibly overpriced. When told staff food was stale they looked at me vacantly. Lovely high tea in Hobsonville $35 double the food, lovely fresh scones, several warm savouries and fresh petite cakes colourful and beautifully presented by staff who are friendly and welcoming, no plastic containers or spoons in sight, and setting equal in beauty.
Paid $13pp for an entry for the tulip festival but only to see tulip in one spotnear the entrance packed with people taking photos. Had the most expensive hot dog ever$9.5 in one of the 2 food stalls inside. Garden itself is not so well maintained, and nothing really reflect the “festival”. Most of the public gardens in nz are free and better than this one. Not recommended and ill not go again for sure
