Had a really nice coffee at Drift Bar in Caloundra today. Great spot right by the water with a relaxing vibe and friendly service. The coffee was a bit light for my taste, but still nice and enjoyable. Perfect place to chill and grab a coffee with the beach view.
The food was absolutely amazing. I had the Korean popcorn chicken, the rice bowl, the chicken burger, and the satay skewers, and everything was delicious. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and provided great service.nnI highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.
House Crumbed Fish of the day $29:nIt’s served with chips, salad, and lemon tartare sauce.nThe coatings are relatively crispy and the fish tends to have a firm but tender texture. Most importantly, this lemon tartare sauce has got to be one of the best dips I’ve ever had.nThe chips are delicious but nothing too special.nnRaspberry Spider $8:nSimply put, it’s soda topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which reminds me of Japanese melon cream soda, highly recommend if you’re Japanese or a fan of this.nnI pretty much enjoyed the meal here on Australian Day and it’s an amazing restaurant choice around Caloundra with beachfront views.nnOverall, nice bartender, delicious foods, spacious dining environment, mid-range prices, great scenery, 9 out of 10!
Not one to leave bad reviews but I have to say, this was the oily-est pasta I have literally ever had. The photo is just some of the oil I poured off onto a spare plate. For $30+ for one meal not including holiday surcharge, this was pretty bad. Only two stars for the beer being cold and the view.
A stunning establishment with hypnotic twinkle lights that light up the venue and draw you in at night. With prime location, it’s hard to walk past and not be drawn in during the day. Wonderful service, lovely selection of drinks both on tap and via menu. I got to sample a few different cocktails and each were made to perfection. The food was quite nice, we went as a big group so a few different things were tried and there were varied opinions across the group, but I quite liked everything I had. The music was quite loud and could be a little quieter as not everyone was there to party hard, like some other members of the community. But it is a place I would visit again and would recommend trying out.
