Story

The Golden Beach Tavern is a privately owned hotel in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. The GBT is one of the LAST privately owned places on the Coast and we have just completed major renovations. Come and take a look around and while you’re at it enjoy a coffee in our alfresco café, or dine in Almarco’s restaurant. We are changing the way people think about us...the GBT is the new 'it' place to be on the Coast! Don't waste another second...get down here!

Budget friendly, clean & tidy well appointed rooms! Comfy bed & living area, plenty of benchtop space and luggage space 2 adults, large bathroom. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water.nLoved the personal use table and chairs on adjoining outside patio.nReception, Bar and Wait staff all friendly, helpful and efficient.
I don’t normally write reviews, but I really wanted to take a moment to praise the exceptional service I received from Dan at Golden Beach Tavern. Every time I visit Caloundra, I make a point of having lunch or dinner here, and over the past two weeks, Dan has truly stood out. From my first visit, his friendly and attentive service made an impression, and when I returned a week later, he not only remembered me but greeted me with, ‘It’s nice to see you again,’ which made me feel genuinely welcome. He goes above and beyond for customers and is an absolute asset to the team.nnOn top of the outstanding service, the meals here are always delicious and very reasonably priced. Whether you're a local or just visiting, I highly recommend stopping by!
Thank you to the wonderful wait staff, especially Dan, chefs and kitchen staff. Was one of the best pub meals we have had. Quality food.
A wonderful place for dinner with exceptional, attentive service. The waiter personally checked in to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The food was top-notch—absolutely delicious with generous portions, all cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. Thanks, team!
Cannot fault the service here! We are from out of town and stopped in on our way back to hotel for dinner. Place was booked out but they made room for us on an outside table, it was raining but we were covered and had great heating. Service was quick! Food was great and the staff were awesome- nothing was too much effort. We ended up coming back the next night and had exactly the same experiencenWish we were local as we would dine here frequently.
