Dr Finn has been fantastic, from the initial consultation through to post-op. The procedure itself was done in day surgery with pain managed well. The healing was quite fast and the communication between Dentist and Surgeon seemless. Very happy and would recommend.
I am a new patient of Dr Finn and know I have the next 2 years of consultations with him and his team. I am looking forward to the road ahead and know I am in good hands. I feel at ease when I walk into the office as the office manager is very friendly and helpful as is Dr Finn. Very informative and honest in their approach which I respect and admire.
I was referred to Dr Finn for the removal of my children’s wisdom teeth. On each occasion he was informative, and caring. He is obviously incredibly skilled. I wouldn’t trust anyone else.
Dr Finn took my wisdom teeth out, consultation was great and informative, i had minimal pain after and the healing was so chill, him and his team slay the house down boots
Three of the four staff members dental assistants we had dealings with were extremely pleasant and professional, however the admin/ receptionist would benefit from some more training . Dr Finn came highly recommended to us by our dental practitioner and former patients of his reported he was the best. We could not and would not dispute this fact, however we found his general manner arrogant and rude. He mentioned numerous times how many surgeries like ours he had preformed, and while we found that reassuring his failure to discuss the surgery and post operative procedures in our particular case most disappointing. If these things are explained the patient has a much better understanding which helps with post op care and recovery.
He was very informative before surgery. Then, he was so rude at the follow up consultation after the surgery. Be aware.
I had surgery in January 31st 2020 - I unfortunately woke up in pain and it is still there. Thus far semi permanent nerve damage so I am told, but it is still numb in the roof of my mouth and the pain is constant as well as affecting my saliva gland. It has been over 2 years. I take pain meds but it is still hurts it just takes the edge off. Be very careful this man is too busy to listen. I did email the practice a couple of times but they booked me in for images to get the implants. I did not go back. I had symptoms I tried to tell him about - He did not listen!!! This affects every part of my life now - He cut the nerve and it will not heal. No dentist knows what to do it is not fixable I have been told. Be very wary if you have surgery with this man. I have wanted to say this for years but did not want to discredit the man, but it hurts still and I need people to know he rushes too much and makes mistakes. It will be worth travelling.
I had four wisdom teeth out and apart from some numbness I had little to no discomfort with the whole experience. Recommended for anyone getting wisdom teeth out. Amazing, friendly and professional staff. Brian was also very professional as well as having a good sense of humour.
I cannot thank Dr Finn enough for the professional care & treatment I received. He designed titanium plates that were made in Belgium for the surgery he performed to remove overgrown bone in both sides of my jaw which prevented me from opening my mouth. I can now eat normally, speak more clearly and I this has made such a difference to my life. I highly recommend Dr Finn and his staff. They really care about getting the best outcome and explain everything you want to know about procedure and cost.
Today I am not only writing a review, I am writing a huge Thank you to an amazing and talented Doctor, Specialist and Surgeon, Dr Finn. With out this man I would not be here today. I have been a patient of Dr Finn's for 8+ years and still going I have had wisdom teeth pulled, a tongue biopsy and our latest adventure, removing cancer from my tongue. If it wasn't for his continued dedication, interest and concern of my well being and health, not to mention his own professional experience as a Maxillary Facial surgeon my diagnosis would not have been picked up and treated as quickly as it was. We are truly lucky to have such a talented specialist in Cairns, and for that I will be for ever grateful. Thank you Dr Finn for saving my life. Joanne Povis
