As a first time customer, I was welcomed by a lovely staff who helped me with finding my first ever pair of Docs. She took the time to show me a couple different styles and was very helpful. Thank you, once again for a lovely experience.
I ordered a pair of Doc Martens, and though they didn't really work out for me, the return process was so seamless. I had Ruby helping me with it over the phone and she was so bloody lovely and helpful; it was a breath of fresh air. These guys truly are a close knit team and you can tell each person lives and breathes that culture and cares for the customer. Thank you, and keep it up. I'll gladly spend my money on you guys again.
Had such a great experience with the team as Downes. The service is above and beyond! So much patience from the staff there while on tried on multiple styles and sizes. They even went the extra mile ordering more sizes so I had the perfect fit in the style I liked Will not be buying Dr Martens from anywhere else from now on.

To a future purchaser, I’m Astonished by the beautiful customer service from Lea. I’d spent 8years sitting on the idea of buying 1460’s England Original Doc Martens, going on and out of the store to look since 2014. Today I finally did buy them and I could not have asked for a more heartwarming or wonderful experience than the one Lea provided. I have a right foot bigger than the left almost by a whole size which made getting boots that fit well a really tricky job! Lea problem solved the whole way, cutting down the leather, modifying the insole, constant testing over 20 or so minutes. Until I had my dream boots. When Lea learned this was my first ever pair, she also went to so much extra effort to make me feel amazing. I’d been really down after a tough couple years and a recent breakup that Lea was unaware of so this whole experience was pure soul food. Thanks Lea! Thanks Downes Shoes!! Had THE BEST customer experience of my life at Downes this past Saturday! My 17yr old's first pair of Docs! A family event. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. They took time to properly fit his shoes to make sure he got the very best shoe for him. Thank you for paying it foward
Awesome store, Sam helped me buy my first pair and it was a great experience, super friendly and helpful. Leah is also amazing and really interactive, if you go here you can always expect amazing service, a great conversation and of course, some cool docs!
They take so much time to go through the process with you. So patient on what is a very big and exciting time, choosing your shoes. Highly recommend visiting and buying Dr marten's from this place.
We went yesterday to find some shoes for my daughter. The assistant was so helpful and I was really impressed with her knowledge of the stock available. The two other assistants were also very friendly and both said hi and commented that they'd be with us soon because they were busy. Such a simple thing but makes such a difference to the impression on entry. This store is truly a haven if you love this brand. We are going back to buy my daughter's shoes when they come in.
