A very well presented and maintained sports ground. Complete with Hockey Club House, Fully Fenced Basketball Court, Large Soccer Fields, Playground and Toilets. Bus parking and adjoining car parking areas with good access into the grounds. Concrete walking trails along the creek side of the complex. A very nice sports area along a council bus route. Close to Ashgrove cbd.
Great large area for sports activity. Seating area for picnic and lovely loop walks around the edge of the park.
Terrific plantings of native gums and Bunya pines, along Enoggera Creek, it's flood plain and hills. Dorrington park hosts the Hockey Club, and a great kids' playground, and a bike/ walking track down the creek bank. This park used to host a Guide Hall when I was young, and I remember seeing platypuses in the creek many years ago. There is safe access to the creek bed, and some huge fig and camphor laurel trees on the sides of it's bed, which fills right up in heavy rain.
Kids love the climbing and activities. Barbecue facilities are clean but can get crowded in peak times.
Great park for kids! Its small enough that you can see almost the whole thing so especially great when you have more than one child and want to supervise them. Partly fenced/ gated away from the car park. Not completely but secures them into a corner. Has toilets, not sure on cleanliness as o didn't use them but I do know they are there. Also a big field I'f you'd prefer to kick a ball or go for a run.
