We have recently sold our Duplex in Edge Hill with D.J.Smith property and the sale agent was Darcy he was very professional from the start to the finish . He advised us on the marketing and presentation of our Duplex also on the tenancy as the purchaser required vacant possession all of his advice was exceptional and we would not hesitate to use Darcy again for the sale of any future properties and would highly recommend him to anyone who requires a professional sales person.
11 months ago, I decided to change my real estate agent of 7 years and started searching for another to manage my rental property. I was a little hesitant to change as most reviews I read on other agents were all pretty similar. Then I came across DJ smith property and saw the good reviews it had. So I decided to take the plunge and reach out to them. Miho was quick to respond and made me feel at ease, I could already tell from that first conversation how efficient she was. She was very friendly, easy to talk to, very professional and very efficient. I felt comfortable that I was making the right choice. Miho had found a great tenant for me, who didn't create any dramas and they were always very quick to respond to any concerns the tenant or either myself had. Recently I had decided to sell my property and contacted Miho, she acted promptly and introduced me to Darcy from the sales team. Darcy was very easy to work with, they wasted no time in getting my property advertised and finding potential buyers just after the 1st inspection. I was very impressed with his way to handle the whole transaction from the first day, all the way up to settlement. If you are looking for reliability and efficiency, the team at DJ smith property are it. I would highly recommend them and they will definitely be my choice again if I had to buy into the market, rent or sell. Great team!
We highly recommend Cairns locals engage with Darcy and his team at DJ Smith Property when selling or purchasing a property. Our situation was a very tricky transaction to navigate, and Darcy and his team managed the process of both our purchase and sale with professionalism, fairness and respect for all parties. We had actually had dealings with Darcy as renters previously, and to engage with his service as buyers and sellers was a very pleasing extension of our previous dealings with him. There are certain Real Estate agents that I would be hesitant to engage and trust with such an important life event as buying or selling your home, but I would not hesitate to trust DJ Smith Property again in the future. Extremely unimpressed. Darcy gave me first refusal on a rental. Miho then took over and on my first phone call with her, she mentioned that I would have to fill out an application form before viewing the property. In a very polite manner, I simply said that I thought this was unreasonable as I had been given first refusal and had a full time job just 500M away. Miho immediately replied that if I didn't want the property there were plenty of others that would. I was horrified to receive such an unprofessional and unpleasant reply. When I phoned Darcy to complain he hung up on me. Later, I phoned Miho to say that I would fill in the application form as I was being given no other choice. I was pleasant and respectful as always. She replied that because I didn't initially want to fill in the applicaion form, she would go ahead and list the property. I was staggered to be treated so badly. Miho was nothing but unprofessional and vindictive to such an extent I even wondered if I had just spoken to a psycopath. I will never give them my business and to any potential tenants; you have been warned.
Annalisa and DJ Smith Property are truly amazing! They are clear and concise with their documentation and guidelines, and are immensely professional in their interactions with their tenants but at the same time they are approachable and easy to talk to. They give importance to all my queries and actions it in a timely manner. Overall, they have exceeded my expectations from a property manager and I am truly satisfied with the service that I am getting from this company.
Miho and her team are just marvellous. I bought and rented out one property through them, sight unseen via the internet, and when I bought a second, they were a natural choice to manage it for me. DJ Smith have been my property managers for 8 years now. I've never met Miho, but she has fought my real estate battles for me, long after most would have given up, and I consider her to be a true friend. If anyone is interested in any aspect of real estate in Cairns, I cannot recommend DJ Smith highly enough.

Miho & Darcy are very professional, reliable and always communicate with me very well in details. Although I had been dreaded this stressful event selling a house, it went completely stress free to my surprise. My house was sold much quicker than I had expected. They gave me precise advice, negotiate well, made effort to look my property at its best and I believe both sides selling&buying are very happy with the outcome. I'll go back to them when I buy or sell a house in the future for sure. They are good people and it's hard to find them these days. Better stick to them like when you find a good dentist!
