Been looking for a decent gym in years and finally I found it! Excellent clean and modern with great music and high quality gym machines throughout. Price for annual membership is much more affordable than other competitors. They also have a separate women’s gym with all the equipment you need, sauna and great classes. Friendly staff and they also sell food and apparel.
I'm not a clean freak but Newcomb is very dirty, I read another review from a year ago with pics, nothing's changed. The functional area has fake grass and if you kneel on it all the dirt and grub gets all over your nice clean clothes, today there were ciggy butts and rubbish on the floor, so disgusting. Machines are really dusty, never routinely wiped down, floor space underneath and around machines are filthy especially at the end of the treadmills in the ladies only area, wall fans are caked with dust, walls are covered in dust and spider webs,nits not healthy!! I've been going all 2024 and tried to not let it bother me but I can't do it anymore, disappointed much.nRoutine vacuuming, mopping, and wiping down is all it takes to level up!
I've been a dedicated member of this gym since its opening, and it has become like a second home to me. Even though I've recently moved to Armstrong Creek, I continue to make the journey to Newcomb because of the exceptional experience and sense of community it offers.nP.S. I would love to see the return of group classes, or at the very least, have access to the group room for my own HIIT sessions
Rock climbing wall is fun, left my climbing shoes so couldn't climb properly but that was great! Sauna is very fancy too with colours inside, love it! Boxing area is cool too:nnShame group classes here aren't running at the moment though you can use the room stillnnAlso fantastic it's just across another venue that has a swimming pool to go after the gym !nnLadies room is cosy for more privacy and less people:
The gym space and equipment is goodnMy complaint are most of the users.nNot all.but alot of the people here are not mindful of others or they just don't care.nOften ppl just sitting on a machine for the longest time playing on there phonesnPlz let the genuine gym ppl get on with it,nGo home n play with ur phone
