Space was beautiful and the staff were lovely but don't come if you are in a rush! Took over 2 hours for lunch and there was only us and one other group. Also only able to book in 3 hour blocks which I find a bit bizarre.nnFood was also very hit and miss. Fish and chips were good but burgers were dry and gnocchi was a bit bland.
We had rented out the space ‘Unforgiven’ for an engagement party. While the space itself was beautiful, it seems the communication from the main floor to Unforgiven is a little choppy. Some guests asked where the venue room was and staff on the ground floor didn’t know about any function happening. Our food service was also about an hour later than when it was due to begin.nBut other than that disconnect, it was a wonderful night!
NOT RECOMMEND FOR LUNCH OR DINNER except going for drinks.nnNice decorations but food and service need to improve immediately. We went there for the first time to get some lunch. When we get in no one greeting or say hi, just told us to seat anywhere and no information whether counter service or table service so we wait until we come up to order at the counter. I ordered a steak with mushrooms sauce but, my food arrived with no sauce and staff didn’t say anything. so I waited again thinking they’re gonna bring it later but almost half of steak was gone and i still haven’t got the sauce so I asked one of the waiter. He said they ran out of mushroom sauce that why they substituted it with a Portobello Mushroom I’m thinking “are you not gonna let customers know about it before order or offer another sauce?.nAlso, everything except steak was salty.nnAfter we finished our meal and about to walk out of the door, no one say thank you at all.nnConclusion, if you are going for drinks, it probably really nice but if you are going to have lunch or dinner. Not recommend because with this price you should get service not like this that make you feel like you are asking them for leftovers food.nnI’m not a fussy person but this is unacceptable.
The actual space is really lovely. It has a little instagram wall, which is quite cute.nI visited for a charity high tea.nI arrived early and decided to grab a drink first.nI ordered a cocktail for something different. I tried one with a chilli bite to it.nIt was ok.nInteractions with staff were pretty good.nThere was a young fella there I had a few interactions with. He might have been new as he did not know a lot, but he excused himself to get more information for me a couple of times.nThe female working in the bar for the function I attended was really lovely and really helpful.nMy one complaint I'd I had one was I had asked for a preference of no seafood for my high tea. The actual high tea menu had no seafood. I stated that I have no allergy and also stayed on my registration. It is a preference. I believe I was served a separate plate with possibly a vegetarian version on. I'm not sure why I got that. The skewer of fruit was pretty dismal, looking and disappointing. A cold cinnamon doughnut with a quarter of strawberry on it does not a high tea make.nPerhaps they were just choosing T's & dotting i's but definitely would have preferred the actual menu everyone else got
We had a small ladies day of 5 partake of the bottomless 'brunch'. We did not have to wait long for the first round of nibbles to be deposited accompanied by a good range of drink options in the package to suit everyone. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not noisy so we could hear the conversation, a very enjoyable way to spend the afternoon.
