They have an enormous variety of beer, wine, and spirits. The store manager has great knowledge of taste and flavour of the whiskey they stock
Always be sure to check the price at the register, they regularly attempt to charge full price at this store, even if there was a discounted tag on the shelf. This has happened to me 2 of the past 5 times I've visited this location, they usually treat you like you're wrong too. Range at the store is good, as you expect at any Dan Murphys, but I'm not sure this is the best managed. Buyer beware when paying.
I went in to buy drinks for my 21st, my friend who is older then me and I did not get ID checked on entry normal to experience after 10mins I found my drinks, so I head to the counter. Not only did the girl at the counter barely glance at my ID I’m the one buying alcohol and standing at the counter to be served she swung full attention to my mate. I’ll add my friend had drove 7 hours to come see me for my 21st and was dressed much tidier then me. She was asked for her ID she responded politely “I do not have my ID, I’m not purchasing anything.” The worker then refused to serve me alcohol. I then asked if I could drop my friend home then come grab the drinks Dans is cheap I was okay with the waste of fuel, I was once again declined. I’m aware of the fine they can receive, but I found it very offensive! Especially since parents can come in with underage kids and buy alcohol without questions asked, but I can’t enter with my best friend who’s older then me? Very upsetting. Might I add she was actually a Dan Murphy member and I wasn’t. Definitely cancelling that one.
I will never shop there again. I'm 53 my daughter was helping me carry a 4 pack of alcohol. She was asked prior the counter for I.D. I said it was for me as I had a toddler in my arms. I could not carry it all.
Very friendly staff Great competitive prices If become a member and swipe card get a members discount Always have member offers Convenient location opposite Hungry Jacks and at lights not far from local Booval Fair shopping centre with Woolworths etc KFC up road also Opposite Racehorse Hotel shared car park and the Ipswich races are behind it also People often park in their carpark if there is an event at the racetrack also like the Celtic Festival etc
What I wanted was a bit hard to find. Stock was low. 1 only bottle at the front of bottom shelf. I had to get down on the floor to reach the ones at the back of the shelf. Not very good for someone with severe spinal issues.
The place to go for all your alcohol needs. Huge range of foreign and domestic brands, competitive prices and a well laid out store.
I travel from Pullenvale to Dan Murphy's Ipswich to buy my drinks. I find the product they sell is a better range than other Dan Murphy's around my area.
