Most disappointing experience- we asked for grilled fish and clearly they have no idea what grilled fish is all about - as shown in the photos. Terrible oily taste - awful chips texture, dirty table, and very slow service. It was way better before and i believe they will lose many customers if they keep this level of service or food.
Was very impressed that they cater for coeliac disease and the gluten free options were huge! I got to try all the Aussie fish and chip shop classics! My friend even agreed the gluten-free option tasted pretty good. The portion size was very generous - easily feeds 2!
Dlish Chips - Port MelbournenWe decided to give Dlish Chips a try and, overall, had a pleasant experience. The food was enjoyable, but we found it a touch oily for our liking. Despite this, the flavours were on point, and it was clear that a lot of effort goes into their cooking.nnWe arrived at a busy time, with plenty of customers enjoying the atmosphere. The staff let us know there’d be a 20-minute wait, but we got our food in 15 minutes, which was a nice surprise.nnThe location is fantastic – we sat out the front, soaking in the lively Port Melbourne vibe. It was a beautiful evening, and being able to watch the buzz of the area while eating was a definite highlight.
The food was nice even though it was cooked a bit dry however the tables were all over the place its almost like the staff didn’t want us to sit also the portions are super small! Bo options for people ima special diet, I asked for salad instead of chips but was too hard for them to change it. And the portion.. its the smallest salmon I ever had so not worth the price.. this place used to be so good bur the cost of living must have effected them and pushed them to drop the quality and the portion.. so sad.. last time im here
It was amazing! Price was reasonable and taste fresh : they actually do gluten free! And they won’t charge you a lot like a gluten free pizza place they only charge 80 cents or something like that I was super stoked! Definitely go back!
