Overall, it was an okay experience. The food was nice and the portions ok. The staff were friendly but blended into the background. We went around lunchtime and it was generally quiet with a few tables taken. The wait for the food was a bit long as we waited over 30 mi utes to get our plates, whereas the drinks came out after 2 minutes. The parking is somewhat difficult as the majority of the area is signed as permit zones and the rest is quite busy as it's next to the tram stop leading to the city. We drove around for 15 minutes just to find a parking.
Lovely pub, definitely worth a visit. Large variety on menu, I had cutlets $46 found them a bit small for price but were nice and my client had Morton Bay Bugs Pasta and for sweets I had the best warm brownie $20 and my client had Affogato. It was a bit pricey main and sweets was $70 with a soft drink and $64 for other main and affogato and soft drink. Nice staff.
Lovely customer service.nA great pub. I had the Thai beef salad which I thought was a bit on the pricey side $34 for a smaller bowl which looked more like a side salad. I also found the dressing to be a little more spicier than it should have been. Also $34 for grilled fish n chips - perhaps maybe add a small side salad to go with or serve. We’ve been to many pubs and we found this pub to be quite on the expensive side with much smaller portions.
I’ve never had a bad meal in Australia until now. The meat was unchewable, the carrots were soggy and there was absolutely zero flavour. The price does not resemble the poor poor quality. The lemonade didn’t taste like lemonade and all they could do is give me a bottle of San Pellegrino. Atmosphere was dead. They didn’t bother asking how the food was or try to refund me. Do not go!
