We’re regular visitors at Curry House in Mowbray, and if you’re ever in Launceston, Tasmania, this spot should be on your must-visit list for Indian and Chinese cuisine.nnTonight, we enjoyed a wonderful family dinner featuring Paneer Pakora, Chilli Chicken, Chicken Tandoori, and Butter Chicken, served with their delicious mint sauce and soft plain naan. Everything was cooked fresh on the spot—the buttery aroma and vibrant flavours were evident in every bite.nnWhat truly stands out is the remarkable consistency. For the last 10 years, Curry House has delivered the same great taste and quality. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and clearly work hard to maintain both quality and reasonable prices.nnA big thumbs up to Curry House—highly recommended!
The restaurant itself could use a little TLC, but the service is extremely polite and prompt. The food is simply outstanding. Prices are reasonable too. This is the very best curry you can get in Launceston. Utterly delicious! You will return for more, again and again and again.
We came from Canberra and stopped by in the area because we were hungry. I must have been blessed to go into this restaurant and try some of the authentic Nepalese/Indian cuisine they served. The staff were absolutely amazing and service was great. 10/10 would recommend
Disappointed with my experience. I arrived about 30 minutes before closing, but I was told they were no longer accepting dine-in customers. It would be helpful if this was communicated clearly so customers don’t make the trip unnecessarily.
Go there if you like old food. We ordered Biryani and Beef madras with the Naans. Biriyani Rice was undercooked, rice was hard to chew. Beef madras was old, taste like bitter. Naans were good considering the price. Their Lighting system needs some work. Overall not satisfied at all.
