We visited the restaurant for dinner and were not disappointed. From the welcome when we arrived to our departure, the whole experience of this venue was fabulous. We all thought that each member of staff were great and really had time for you. The menu offered a good range of choice and fairly priced for the standard of food we had. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the salmon cooked just how we liked it. The ambience and setting were just great. We will definitely be back but this to try out the Sunday lunch....
5 starts for gluten free fish & chips! Very accommodating with us as the restaurant was full but you can still order from a reduced menu from outside tables that you do not need to book. Gluten free is no problem, in fact, as written above, the fish & chips are gluten free & I was assured it was very tasty. The sweet potato curry was delicious & our friend’s burger looked lovely. The service was very attentive & food arrived promptly.
Fantastic stay in the main suite- I think the Cromwell! What a gorgeous stunning big room, was such a lovely treat. Hotel staff were very accommodating and good natured- dealt with Mario or was it Darius sorry was a month ago who was a lovely chap. I managed to lose the keys and they were later found but the hotel were very nice about it all. Food downstairs was amazing. My only single complaint is the coffee in the room is undrinkable. Next time and I very much hope there is I will bring my own
Superb hotel for much cheaper than some other posh Cotswolds hotels. Great food and absolutely stunning view from room we had first floor in tower and restaurant with its glass frontage. We had a few dead/dying wasps in our room but I think they had been a bit unlucky with a nearby nest. Shows how good it was to give them 5 stars anyway
Went for dinner and expected far more than was delivered. The setting is lovely of course and the service was friendly and efficient. However, we felt rushed. Courses arriving mere moments after we ordered. The staff were good but the menu lacked any imagination. Really needed a few interesting dishes that went beyond the standard pub grub. Pop music was playing quite loudly on arrival for a Saturday evening dinner. The glassware was poor and clunky lacking any elegance. The cutlery too felt thin and a bit cheap. Real shame as we'd hoped for more.
Have to, say best dining experience, from ordering the drinks views and waiter service. All deserve 5 stars. Was our 40th Anniversary yesterday up from Devon and was the highlight of our trip. Thanks
Quick pit stop for a drink after walking the surrounding area. Great views and fair selection of hot and cold beverages at the bar. Didn’t eat on this occasion.
My Boyfriend surprised me with a nights stay and dinner at the Castle at Edgehill..... As we pulled around the corner and were met with the stunning castle in the early evening light I was in love! It just got better!.... greeted by friendly staff we were shown to our room in the turret - the views are stunning! Dinner was amazing - soup and pate then the christmas dinner and beef shin for main between the 2 of us... the Apple Crumble dessert was devine....I failed to finish which was the only dissapointment as it really was that good! The bed was comfortable and I had the best nights sleep in a while. Thoroughly recommended and a huge thank you for all the wonderful service.
Meet friends for lunch. We had dogs with us so ate in the bar area which was really nice. Lovely ambience, great service and great food Food & drinks: The food was very good. The sharing platter was excellent, festive burger was very tasty and I can highly recommend the meringue roulade dessert
Simply an absolutely amazing Sunday roast beef dinner not to mention the mushroom soup for starter. No pictures as I dived straight in. Superb Food & drinks: Amazing
