Off a long flight from LAX, we got to the hotel a bit early. The staff was super accommodating and though we did not have a room, they gave us access to a changing room where we got refreshed and dressed for a beach walk to Bondi.nnGot some fish for lunch and took the public bus back which stops right at the hotel.nnThey stored our bags...when we got back at check-in time our amazing room was ready. It was stunning -- a ocean view like we've never had before. We kept the door open all night and slept to the waves hitting the shore. Quiet and peaceful otherwise, such serenity. It was the perfect relaxing night, exactly what I had hoped for to begin our active visit.nnThe room was lovely. Clean and comfortable. Five stars across the board. We planned to stay downtown the rest of our trip and I regret it. 5 Stars across the board. The reception was so friendly and helpful. Thank you!!!nnOnly wish is a heated Jacuzzi/hot tub.
Our trip to Sydney and stay at this hotel would not have been as memorable and enjoyable had it not been for Annabel at the Front Desk. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless check-in experience after a sixteen hour flight and provided exemplary customer service. We loved our Ocean view room listening to the waves and the neighborhood is very quiet and serene. Would 10/10 come back for the amenities and the incredible staff.
Amazing views and great location. Room was clean and quiet. I arrived early and the staff at the front desk were able to accommodate me and check me in early. I also got a free room upgrade! I will definitely be staying here again.
I've just spent 5 nights at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Coogee and I was absolutely blown away. I was pleasantly surprised to learn on my arrival that my room had been upgraded to 'ocean facing.' The view of the beach was spectacular and it was so special to be able to open the ranch slider to the balcony, and listen to the crashing waves. The room was lovely and the bed was massive and so comfy! I was very grateful for the complimentary fruit, chocolates and bottle of wine that were waiting for me. A slight downside was the bathroom was a bit dated, and included a shower over bath, complete with a shower curtain not a deal-breaker by any means. The included breakfast was AMAZING - nearly anything you could possibly want, alongside a beautiful barista-made coffee. The on-site restaurant 'Shutters' was excellent, as was their room service menu.nnI loved my experience at Crowne Plaza, and will absolutely return the next time I'm in Sydney hopefully when it's warmer, so I can make use of the on-site pool!.
We had a pleasant recent stay here. The hotel is dated, but has been somewhat refreshed. I found the in room amenities to be quite basic. Unfortunately for me what was completely unacceptable was our king sized bed had been made up with the incorrect sized linen. There appeared to be a double sized top sheet covering the badly stained double sized doona. Whilst I am sure the hotel would have rectified if we had called down that is the last thing you feel like doing when you arrive back to your room to get into bed. With a couple sleeping in the bed this meant that someone was out in the cold. This had been done quite deliberately by whomever had made the bed as the short side was placed on the side away from the door so it wasn’t apparent at first glance at the room.
