Simple enough to use. Not well visible from the road and needs more lighting and shelter.
Got notified late yesterday that my parcel had arrived and was awaiting collection here at my parcel locker. As it was too late in the day to get there given I've used my parcel locker before and it's given me at least a day to two days, I figured I'll be able to get there the following day, which was today. I realised that I had not received the digit pin for the "access code". So I called the number on the screen at the parcel locker, and they said according to their system, the item has already been handed in to the desk to grab it behind the counter. Okay, no worries! Looked at the desk and everything was shut with a massive CLOSED sign saying "We are only open 6:30am-12pm, Monday to Friday". Really? REALLY? Considering most people are already getting ready for work in the morning and work up until at least 3/4/5+ o' clock, and you aren't open Saturday or Sunday, how am I supposed to collect my parcel? Seriously? Total BS! The lady on the phone was actually quite helpful and nice -- it was no use venting my frustrations to her as she was only doing her job and it's not her fault... but why in the hell would you close at 12pm everyday? when people work? and not at least be open on a Saturday morning? What did irk me though, was when I asked why, and she said "Probably because of Covid times", which is garbage considering everything is open normal by now and you were open longer DURING the lockdown! Ok, I understand many people use the parcel lockers and you need to rotate them -- I wasn't expecting to have it in there for a week or something... but you need to give people at least 24 hours once again, I got notified late yesterday and couldn't get there before you give it to the desk. And your desk needs to be open until at least 3 or 4 pm. If not 5pm. Why shut at 12pm on a WEEK DAY? Why bother opening?... Total waste of time! Super annoyed now... Going to have to organise to get there sometime next week during the "opening hours". Absolutely ridiculous AusPost! C'mon!
Good to see that they have opened up more makeshift counters. I went on Saturday at 10.30am, and the queue moved extremely quickly as they had 6 counters open and I barely waited 5 mins. Well done on improving procedures.
Nothing wrong with the Parcel Locker, as well the staff is kind and friendly, however....considering the money Australian Post makes every year, they should employ more staff. People come from work, having a card and then gave to drive 20 minutes through congested traffic to pick up a parcel . Then you stand another 15 + minutes in line. Family and Neighbors aren't impressed. Better system please.
In a convenient location for your parcel collecting needs. I especially like the fact that their collection is open from 7am on a weekday so you can collect parcels outside of business hours or on your way to work if you catch the train into the cbd. I would like to see more parking available though and maybe some extra windows during peak periods as a large line can form.
Excellent service. Great people. I went to pick up my parcel and there was long queue, but they serve very fast so that I didn’t have to wait for long. They maintain all safety Covid 19 protocols as well.
Sometimes it's frustrating to go and collect the parcel from the locker. But one way it is safe instead of leaving it in front of the house. The staff over there are very helpful. The wait outside is hard if the weather is not good. There is no covered area to que up if there is a wait.
NOT AIMED AT THIS PARCEL LOCKER SPECIFICALLY, JUST AT AUSPOST IN GENERAL: Incredibly lengthy delays to receive my parcels. I have a few different items to be delivered to me - one of which has taken nearly three weeks to get from New South Wales to Melbourne - and it STILL hasn't arrived! but funnily enough - a package of mine from ANOTHER company that was also coming from NSW arrived within a few days!! - Often you don't get the choice of using something other than Auspost. The funny thing is, after about two weeks a week ago, my app said that it had arrived in Melbourne being "processed at facility". The day after, it said it was back in NSW!! System error or has one of your staff accidentally sent it back?? Now for the past 4 or 5 days, it hasn't moved on my tracker app. It's sat there, and sat there, and sat there for days. Have tried contacting Australia Post about it at the start of the week and it is now Friday with STILL no reply. I totally understand and respect how inundated you guys are given Covid and the hundreds and thousands of parcels you must be sorting through every day, but for a start, I don't understand how my parcel can be sent from NSW to Melbourne being processed for delivery and then get sent BACK to NSW when the delivery address is clearly stated as Melbourne?!?! How can someone make that error, seriously?! Very disappointed... UPDATE: It's now the 20th of August and going on 4 weeks and it STILL hasn't moved on my tracking app and STILL no response from my enquiry lodged. Found a number to ring and investigate - half an hour wait for a 2 minute conversation from an extremely unenthusiastic and miserable-sounding person, saying "We will investigate" Isn't that why I sent a form in a week and a half ago and no one replied?!... Seriously, not good enough!
Apparently I’m not the only one who rarely receives their parcel eventhough someone’s at home. Somehow they only deliver the small parcel. When it’s bigger than your mail box, they just leave a card pretending there’s no one at home. It really annoys me because I’m always at home and I didn’t even hear the bell ringing or door knock! Paid express post and still had to drive myself 20min to this DC instead of local PO!! I complained all the times to Australia Post it just doesn’t seem to change. Well, now they provide photo of the card in front of the house when the postie ‘attempted to deliver’, but still doesn’t show if they really attempted to ring the bell or knock or just leave a card to make it quick.
Watch out everyone because we where expecting a parcel to be delivered at our home. My husband works from home and could receive the delivery. The Australia post van pulls up rings the door bell and leaves a blue collect form in our letter box. Thank goodness my husband intercepted him before he took off. The reality was he did not have our parcel because it was large and left it back at the post office, hoping we would not be home and would have to collect the parcel. He sheepishly told my husband we will get it tomorrow......guess what? Still waiting!! How can we trust Australia post?? What a disgrace!
