Story

Crabapple Kitchen trades all day from 7am till 5pm seven days a week, the ever-changing seasonal menu reflects primarily Italian, French & Spanish cuisine. Using the finest Victorian produce available, the food is simple, rustic and flavoursome and complemented by a well-considered boutique wine list and stunning coffee. These can be enjoyed in a cosy, relaxing, homely and light-hearted environment derived from the French and Italian countryside. Think beautiful fabrics, French pantries, hanging copper pots, comfy banquettes and a warming open fireplace. From start to finish, Crabapple Kitchen has been designed to capture the true essence of old-school hospitality.

One of my favourite brunch places. Service was quick and efficient, food was divine. One of the interesting things is that this place has a changing travelling menu. The chef creates dishes inspired by different cuisines... So there's always something new every now and then if you're already sick of the old favourites.
5 stars for food and overall atmosphere. Homely interior and plenty of seats at the counter. Clearly a favourite with Hawthorn locals. No filter coffee though. Would recommend heading to nearby Axil Roasters or Collective Espresso if You don’t drink flat whites.
Excellent food. I had the big brekky with added spinach and ocean trout. The spinach was a hit and miss but still was ok. A quaint little setting with polite staff. Would surely come back! My wife highly recommends the coffee too!

One of the best local cafes. Constantly changing menu, great food, friendly staff, but could be considered expensive. You get what you pay for though.
Great venue, great variety, great if you have 30-45 min to spare or 5-10 for takeaway.

Fantastic service in a beautiful Cafe with a classic style. The food is wonderfully presented and the baristers are great. Definitely upper class and worthy of the great reputation it has. Don't go there for a single piece of toast, go there for something you can't make yourself! Fresh smoothies and juices with the prepared fruit on display, the muffins are deliciously quirky and the meals are tasty
Food is fair. Didn't try the coffee. Pricing does seem a bit steep but not completely crazy. Service was an absolute shocker. Nice people but incompetent. Only seems to be one person who knows what she's doing, seems to be the owner. Wasn't just us, multiple tables around had similar issues with having to check on orders after huge waiting time. It Wasn't even that busy. Quality of food isn't enough for me to come back, let alone the service.
Great food and awesome ambience. 100% recommended. bookings are a must
