i like the tavern the relaxed atmosphere , but i work late on saturdays til 9pm, so we regularly go there, but i think its not right that they advertise that they are open til midnight and we were there for an hour and was told last drinks at 10pm and we went to gaming room and again were told they were turning off the machines at 10.30 , not good especially when were winning , so what if they say open til 12pm stay open til then, we were told because there was not many people there closing early , and this was not the first time either ,come on there were other people heading there from the restaurants to have last drinks , so i think they can leave one person on til close cause i would of bought more drinks as well as the others heading there , as we live close and can walk there and now was over the limit unable to drive any where else, where else are locals meant to go within buggy or walking distance at least give the locals some where to go til midnight its saturday but any how will stil go, but at least worn people of early close ,cause i thought great we have til 12 which is late enough for the cove but 10.30 a bit early what and where are we living in a retirement resort , no where else we go close before closing time because of lack of poeple, so what do they call lack of people there was us and another couple there and were told to leave , my question is how many people have to be there to not close early its all about service to keep patronage and there at the cove they need to keep it alive ,so honour the locals stay open til 12 like u advertise and at the end of the day i would of spent another $100 on drinks in those couple of hours so that pays for for a persons hourly rate til close ,so if the tavern is reading this think about it , no other taverns close because of lack of people and who is to say others would not arrive from one minute to another , honour your 12pm close and people will come rather than wonder how much time they have , not knowing from one minute to another if your told to leave , cause i thought i could relax til at least close but no had to go home ,walking and was unable to go anywhere else signed not happy local

Excellent location, friendly staff, lots of good atmosphere, good selection of food and drinks that taste great

The food took an hour and a quarter to come out. The "medium" steak I ordered, came out well done / charcoal, and the mash was from a powder mix (it was still sloppy). Definitely not worth the price I paid.
