5 stars for the upstairs bar and restaurant. 1 star for the live music venue downstairs. At full capacity, I turned a corner and it was like walking through the gates of hell. They need to sell less tickets. The restaurant is really nice, great food and really nicely put together. Interior design is top notch. Downstairs, who thought placing columns throughout the viewing area was a good idea? You will be soaked in the sweat of a stranger who favours organic deodorant. The sound is atrocious. Upstairs has a fantastic ambience. Never have I been so torn when writing an interview.
Stopped here for dinner before a concert on a Sunday evening. The rooftop area was lively and full of people. Food service took about 45mins due to how busy it was, we were warned about the wait time before ordering. The steak with chips and salad was good.
Great atmosphere, but it gets very loud and crowded. Great venue for groups as there is heaps of seating available. The sticky chicken ribs were delicious, and I tried a mocktail called "cake" that was very nice. I like that they have non-alcoholic versions of their special cocktails, as I don't generally like the taste of alcohol. Parking can be tricky, but it's Richmond so what can you expect.
It was a long wait after many lockdowns and cancelled shows That we waited patiently for this Extraordinary guitarist by the name of Daniel Champagne and his support act Flynn Gurry Two amazing young men doing what they love They are both superstars in their own rights Wow you really have to see them to really understand what l am saying Remember their names And when you get the chance to see them Don't Hesitate You will never regret it for a minute
saw marianas trench here for the second time. rly lovely staff, always friendly, doing their best to accommodate and moderate the crowds. after the guitar picks had been thrown into the crowd, the staff helped pick up the ones that fell into the barrier, and gave them to fans : also concert barstaff deserve a pay rise
If you've been to the Corner, it's still the great venue it's always been. If you haven't, get ready for an authentic live music experience, disco ball and ugly carpet and all
Great meals, ease of order and loved a $20 steak on steak night Tuesdays. Meals were decent size and good for price as well. Was difficult to find parking and rooftop was very exposed and cold this time of year.
Another fantastic night at the Bob Marley birthday bash. Good vibes all around and great music.
Hadn't been to see a band here in a good decade and it hasn't changed. It's a great small and personal venue. The placement of lighting left us blinded at times and a unless you want everyone pushing past you to get to the bar don't stand towards the back. You will have no issues hearing the band but the view of the stage can be limited in some with places due to support poles through the venue.
Always had a great time at The Corner. Food and drinks on the rooftop in summer, ground floor for a boogie on a weekend, or the band room when acts are on. It's just one of those places you'll always enjoy yourself.
