Pleasantly surprised! I was a little weary after reading some of the negative reviews. But the dining place was large and airy. Food was great. Price a little uppish but worth the money. The lamb was outstanding. The fish wasn’t that fresh. Love the garden. Had a pleasant walk there. Only set back was the coffee took forever to come.
Really nice atmosphere with easy car parking outside. This is one of the two places around Coogee that Wise Woman my wife wanted to try so I guess I could not go wrong! we were seated near the kitchen which was a nice experience because we really got to see and hear the busy-ness of the place. If you want a quieter area, best to ask for one of the other areas. Service was attentive and quick. Judging by the crowd and the number of orders during Sunday lunch, this was impressive. The food we ordered was interesting and we intend to return to try the other items on the menu.
Absolutely adored our lunch at cooge common!nThe food was spectacular, open kitchen to see and hear the chefs creating pur food, menu was short but meals were so fresh and had something for eveyone who wants to dine. Extensive wine list and cocktail menu,nThe staff were attentive and so sweet but not pushynWent for a walk around their beautiful garden where they harvest their produce. They have working bees and free roaming chickens on site, different seating areas, have a bakery at the front with pastries and bread made fresh in house from 7am and sell beautiful fermented pickles, pasta sauce, hot sauce, sauerkraut, spiced seeds!nnThe atmosphere and ambience was phenomenal.nOutstanding establishment and I'd definitely recommend a visit and I'll be back!
Even with the roadworks the garden is a delight to the senses. The staff are wonderful always on the look out to help. And the food. Wow. Should have taken a photo of each delicacy. Pork and duck terrine with pickles, wood fired organic bread with hand churned butter, and the market fish pictured with a refreshing rhubarb and lime homemade lemonade. Just delicious.
My partner attended Coogee Common on a quiet Monday night after a local had given their recommendation we are from interstate. We were drawn to its farm-to-table vision, and took in the lovely garden scenery before entering. It was quite cold inside, perhaps the air-conditioning hadn’t accounted for only a handful of patrons.nnWe settled in to dinner, cocktails and dessert. The waiters left us mostly to our own devices which was nice, although things felt eerily quiet at times we were one of the last people to leave. Food was delicious and we left, satisfied, in a food coma.nnThank you for having us!
