Story

Community Focus Association is a Community based Mental Health Service on the Sunshine Coast; the primary aim of this organisation is to contribute to reducing the isolation of individuals and groups within the community by promoting social interaction and connectedness, providing access to information and activities that promote mental wellbeing.

The organisation engages participants (consumers) as valued members of the community, not as separate or isolated but as productive valuable contributors, promoting community inclusion, social and emotional wellbeing and recovery in an environment free of discrimination. Program and activity development and direction is a collaborative process engaging participants, staff and management. Group activities support safe and productive relationships, the sharing of experiences, the strengthening of connections and improved self confidence.
