After multiple interactions with this branch, I consistently found the service attitude and professional competence to be extremely poor.nnWhile overseas, I was able to use credit cards from other Australian banks for both purchases and cash withdrawals without any issues. However, the credit card issued by this bank did not work at all. When I returned and visited this branch to ask for an explanation, the staff simply said they did not know and could not identify any problem. No further investigation or solution was offered, and the issue was left unresolved.nnSimilarly, when a family member was unable to use this bank’s Tap & Pay feature, we visited the same branch and demonstrated the issue in person. The response was identical — staff again stated that they did not know the cause and could not see any problem. Eventually, we resolved the issue ourselves by finding an incorrect setting within the bank’s own mobile app.nnThis appears to be a common and basic issue, and it is reasonable to assume that many customers before us had raised similar concerns. Nevertheless, the staff demonstrated a clear lack of knowledge about their own products and showed little initiative or concern in helping customers resolve problems. It is particularly disappointing that even solutions customers were able to identify on their own were completely unknown to the staff.nnAfter repeatedly experiencing poor service quality and unprofessional attitudes, we ultimately decided to move our banking accounts from Commonwealth Bank to Westpac Bank, where we have since received a more professional and satisfactory level of service.
Worst customer service banking experience ever. I stood and waited to be acknowledged when 3 staff were standing there all talking, to then ask the next person who walked in after me if he needed help and booked him in to be next seen when I had been spending there 5mins already. I then walked over to the lady and she asked if I had been seen and I said no so she booked me in after the other guy who she said was next. I said I was actually here first and she goes he won’t be long and I said neither will I, I literally just need to change my name. But here I was standing here another 15 minutes. The staff then all stared asking new people if they needed help all whilst I was standing there and finally someone realised I was next “booked in”. Honestly would not recommend coming to this branch!

So the Comm Bank branch is no different cerebral to any other branch. Everyone wants to get you to use the machines.nnNow to judge the character of a bank you need to interact with the humans as all machines are programmed to act / react the same.nnThe staff here are quiet efficient and do their business. They don’t necessarily think outside the box.
Cash deposit machine literally never works. Waste of time.
