A few weeks ago I was in comfort plus with my mum and my auntie when I suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed. Thankfully there was a nurse who was also shopping there at the same time, who I am extremely thankful for, because the staff in the store did absolutely nothing at all. They did not bother to clear a space, or ask if I was okay, they did not call an ambulance. They did nothing. They allowed other customers to come into the store, to stare at me while I lay on the ground having a medical episode, and to practically step over and around me in order to keep shopping. On top of all this, a customer and a worker decided to then start arguing with each other, shouting at each other, about 2 meters away from me. The paramedic was also absolutely disgusted by the behaviour. I work in retail myself. We have had people faint in our store too, and every single time we clear everyone out of the store, and offer any help that we possibly can to our customers. You need training for emergency situations and maybe training for some common human decency and basic knowledge too. Edit to reply to response: Thank you for your response, although I am rather disappointed by it as the version of the story you have told is not true. No one ‘voiced concern’ to my family because I blacked out about 20 seconds after entering the store, after running to sit down near my auntie. I was the one who ‘voiced concern’ to my own family that I was going to pass out. There was no time for anyone else to ‘voice concern’. The nurse that was in the store at the time was the one who called the ambulance, my family did not decline your offer to call. The store manager did not make sure I was sitting down. I sat myself down when I knew I was about to faint. And I was not in an isolated space, I was on the floor in the centre of the room. And materials that were provided, I assume by that you mean the shoe box that I was vomiting in, was not provided by your staff, but by the nurses husband, who also volunteered to stand outside the store to show paramedics where to go, because your staff members wouldn’t, and even suggested my mother to go and do it herself. She refused to leave my side so a stranger helped, not the staff. I appreciate that you mentioned your staff members were concerned and checked on me, and I understand this is a stressful situation, however I was the one who experienced this first hand, so was my family. We know the truth, and your description of the event is not accurate.
This store is hopeless. Call to make sure my order is correct. No. Cancelled the order. Next, receive an email saying I’m so sorry I didn’t get to the warehouse in time so they’ve sent the wrong shoes. I’ll have to wait until I send them back at my expense to get my refund. The shoes arrived, messy, unbuckled. And what I ordered originally, in the wrong box. I do not know how they’re still in business.
Great service by Sophie today. All the staff are always friendly and very helpful. I needed a new pair of revere sandals and the store had exactly what I needed.
Sophie was so helpful for both myself and my partner. We needed someone that knew how to help us with our special needs with shoes and she was the right lady for the job.
Just a big shout out to the beautiful Sophie at Southport who was very patient with my Mum whilst trying on different styles of shoes .. We had such a great experience with her and laughing a lot .. Mum is extremely happy with purchasing 5 pairs of shoes there
Great shopping, good prices and best of all staff that know their products and they listen to what you say and what you need, my wife bought 2 pair of ón shoes, they recommended them for her very shoe feet, thank you and we'll be back.

I have bought good quality shoes that stopped my leg pain from here before. And had good experiences, very friendly staff. I had a bad experience recently, and I had to have a lot of pain medication just to get there, and went twice inthe one day to try to get it done. As I know with my conditions, I can have to try on 20 pairs of shoes to find the right one for me .... did not impress the Sales Lady at all. Nor my Taxi driver who was helping me and had to actually put shoes on me himself I went back and was helped by a beautiful lady Sue, and took my Carer. They have some great shoes that are worth it for the comfort that you get and relief. I can only have a pair of shoes on for 2 hours before having to take them off...... I tried on one pair that was not right and could not try on any more, as it hurt my foot so much and went up to my back and I was in tears .... people do not understand Chronic Pain and how a small thing can send it off so badly. Hopefully, the first lady will learn that some people may need to try on a lot of pairs, and don't have time physically to wait for them to put everything back on the shelf and tidy up slowly before bringing out other pairs I wanted to try on. But made a snide remark to another staff member about all the shoes I wanted to try...... It upsets me that I have to go through so much ... it is not like I do it for fun. But I was contacted back by management and being looked after and very happy with everything. Thank you for listening to my experience and taking it seriously. Very much appreciated
Used to love this store however the blonde lady sho served me was abrupt and had zero interest in helping me other than getting sizes, I hadn’t even got the shoe on my foot and she asked me how it was !! I had to ask Angela who was serving someone else for help with a shoe Angela has always been awesome I chose to order 3 pairs online instead of purchase from the blonde lady. Update: after seeing their marketing email today it appears that the blonde lady who helped me is Sophie the manager. Wont be returning if that is how the manager behaves
I have terribly deformed feet due to Rheumatoid arthritis & bad surgical intervention. Susan immediately knew which shoe would be best for me. Found the correct size & colour, in & out of the store in 38 minutes. Thank you I will be back
