Story

Colonial Brewing Co is excited to announce our expanding operations and new home of 89 Bertie Street Port Melbourne, the former site of Matilda Bay Brewery.

Founded in 2004 in Margaret River, our 100% Australian owned and made brews have hit the streets of Port Melbourne joining the expanding brewing culture of Victoria.

Brewing is well and truly underway at our new east coast location, with our full range – including our Koslch Draught, Pale Ale, Bertie Cider., Wheat, Small Ale, IPA On Tour, and Project Beers – being carefully crafted in the new Port Melbourne digs.

Wow!!nWhat a great place to be. A great find. Super chill atmosphere on a Wed lunch. Lots of parking and lots of beer options its endless. Do yourself a favour, get the beer paddle and chicken burger OMG flavour sensation and texture all in one. Looking at the vats add to a authentic feel.
A new favourite! Food is sooooo good and very reasonably priced. On Wednesdays most items are priced $20! All beers, every day, are $10. The PA is my usual go to but I also highly recommend the Blood Orange Cider - it’s a bit like an Aperol Spritz but better. The chargrilled pork was melt in the mouth worthy. So good. Thanks CBCo.

Fantastic brewpub with a great atmosphere and good beers. Located within the Port Melbourne industrial area this modern brewery provides a venue for all occasions. Come for 1 beer, dinner with family, a night out with friends or a function. Plenty of on street parking on weekends and evenings, friendly staff serving behind the bar and fun times ahead for those who visit. Disability friendly venue.
