Nestled in the back streets of Prahran you'll find the College Lawn Hotel, a hotel that offers the warmth and welcoming feel of a favourite local.

The hotel consists of a lounge bar, public bar, function room, bottle-shop, two sun drenched courtyards and a great restaurant. The vibe is casual and laid-back.

Pool tables, happy hours, live sport and slab raffles - if it's not already your local, by the time you leave it will feel like it is.

The College Lawn also offers backpacker accommodation and is a favourite for visiting internationals due to both our location and the comfortable, affordable accommodation on offer.

First time here with a few friends that go regularly. Cheap schnitzel on Wednesdays which are amazing and delicious. Tastes very fresh. Also got the cobbler and was absolutely to die for.nnVery good drinks and fast service too.
We came for Thursday dinner as we heard they were running some half-price specials on the ribs. The bbq sauce that they used on the half-rack was beautiful, too bad that the rib we ordered seemed to come with some soft bones and extra bones that you don't normally expect from BBQ ribs. The glaze on the fried chicken ribs has a similar taste to buffalo wings, although this one is breaded which adds crunchiness. The service is fairly quick and helpful. The place is big with many separate areas like a covered backyard, covered beer garden, pool room with TAB, etc.nFood - 7nService - 7nVibe - 7nPrice - $$$
Food was delicious and served very quickly. Courtyard was lovely to sit in. Ate lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the pub was very quiet, but it looks like it would be a great sociable place to for summer drinks or dining.
Steak sandwich was not great. Bacon was almost certainly cooked well ahead of time and like chewing on leather, whilst the sandwich itself was just bland. Needs Mayo/relish/rocket or something to elevate it up and ditch the wet veggies like tomato and beetroot IMO. Also if you don’t like lemon pepper type seasonings, ask for plain salt on your chips. Has this funky sweet/sour taste. I’m giving 2 stars due to the fact that the Parmas looked a whole lot better in our group order and also after telling staff about the less than satisfactory steak sandwich they offered a replacement meal, but after persevering through the steak sandwich I wasn’t hungry for another meal.
We booked a table for 4pm and had a grand time. Come 6:30pm, David told us our table was booked by John. He made another table free for us, wiped down tables that were rain affected, kept having a laugh every time we changed tables, and continued to have a laugh. What a good venue with great staff! Highly recommend!
