Promoting SCAMS!!! I bought my daughter a Visa gift card for her birthday from Coles, and when she went to use it, she found that the numbers on the front and back were painted over. So when I went back to inform the supermarket, they first didn't believe me, so I tried to buy a $2 biscuit pack, and it declined!! This card was brand new, straight from its packaging and had the numbers painted over and money drained. When I asked for a refund, I was told that Coles couldn't be held responsible, which I understand it's a third party, but I wasn't until I fought with the manager that they agreed to open an investigation to process getting my money back. I told the manager that they should remove the cards as they've said it's only happened 4 times in the past 8 years, so there's a chance that they might not be scams!! That was the most ridiculous answer I received. I paid Coles for this gift card and was scammed, and instead of protecting the rest of the public, they say that I'm a part of the minority!! What about the elderly who wouldn't know any better, and their money would go to waste?? I'm very upset and will be calling customer support to get my money FROM COLES back!nnUpon looking at the other reviews further, I can see that someone had a similar incident. So I guess the manager, Immad, lied to me for the past 2 months, there are 3 cards that we know about that have been scams. Coles is responsible for ensuring these cards aren't scams, just like they are responsible for ensuring our food isn't rotten.
Tried to do assisted checkout at leftmost counter 3:13pm in left side. the self checkout was at right and to my surprise the lady at the assisted checkout said I am still waiting, there was only one customer who was filling his bag. I did not even ask or tell anything to lady, just approaching towards the counter and she did not wanted to serve. Once again it's proved automated checkout are better, less humans the better. It just gets complicated when there are unhappy people doing work they don't want to do
Nice Coles in Pacific Werribee with fully stocked isles and staff is very helpful. I like the vibe and presentation of the store. It's very busy due to its location, plenty of check outs. This store also has a great variety of indoor plants.
I purchased two gifts card worth $500 as a baby shower gift. When my friend opened the gift cards, both cards were faulty with middle numbers scratched out. She still tried to use them but no luck. She emailed gift card company but they said cards were faulty and no response after that. Then she emailed Coles customer service which said $400 had already been used and only $100 can be refunded. How can they sell a card which had already been used? Both cards had numbers scratched out see attached pics and yet they were on sold in new cardboard pockets.nAs the purchaser of the cards, I feel embarrassed for the gift, but also my friend now had to follow up the problem while she has a new baby.nIt is not acceptable and I demand a full refund, with or without an explanation.
I don’t know where to post or send this, but all the ice creams in the freezer yesterday were soft, literally juice in a container. Their freezer failed at some point recently, for a long period of time. I question everything in there.
