Absolutely love the check out staff who are helpful and friendly. The ladies working in the deli are a completely opposite experience. If you request anything that’s not been sitting for hours in the meat trays you cop death stares and rude service. I’ve experienced one or two younger lovely staff members here but perhaps the work culture has sent them packing. Absolute shame as the checking out experience is always great and we are always happy to have a chat and a laugh with these lovely staff members. Hoping management conduct training on their deli staff though. Customer service training such as smiling instead of icy cold looks, and being ignored while serving for customers who arrived after you might be a start.
whenever i come into this coles i’m always treated like i’m a thief or something horrible! nnI take longer to look at things because i’m neurodivergent and struggle to read! I want to make sure I’m at least buying items I can eat.nnthe staff always get the loss prevention to follow me around the store, i’ve never stolen anything! I always buy whatever I pick up! it makes me so uncomfortable being followed by random men with ear pieces in! I’ve literally never stolen anything… I pay for whatever I pick up!nnthe customer service here is also HORRIBLE. the short lady with the high pitched voice cannot work the self serves for her life. I’ve had to show her how to fix an error before I work for the competitionnalso there’s a lady I think she’s a manager or something who often works in self serves who will watch me like a hawk and then get mad when I ask for help. sorry for asking for help babenndo better barkly square coles…. you guys claim to be inclusive but treat your neurodivergent customers terribly!

A rather large coles, fruit and meat section is pretty stocked most of the time, floors are incredibly clean and they have some masks near the front entrance if you need any.
