Stopped in for something to cool down the tastes buds after some really spicy food and this worked a treat! The young man that served us was amazing, he was courteous and just generally a nice guy! Thank you
Visited NYE & the store was dirty. It had an odour of old spilt milk, the floor was filthy & the windows just as bad. Staff not overly friendly. Was going to sit on the street to eat but the sitting area was dirty as well, old icecream drips everywhere & rubbish on the ground. Yuck. Ice cream is expensive & average. Never again.
I’m sitting on the fence with Cold Rock. I find most people either like it or not. For me, the cost of $7 for a small tub of ice cream with my choice of sweet treat fillings is out of my budget range. As a parent of 3, if the 4 of us went out for a snack it could potentially cost me $30 - $40 depending on what they ordered. I ordered a vanilla cup with only a few fillings and although tasted good - I still balked at the price. Staff were lovely and very helpful in making my choice. There is seating inside. Cake catering available. Notes: wheelchair accessible, kid friendly, parking out the front.
quality of food is nice however the employees bully your decisions immensely. only upside to their employment is some have a sense of humour. most are underage and unsupervised i’m scared to eat my ice cream as the worker looked as if she carried herpes will only be coming back if brynne about 5”5 with blonde hair short wears black hair clips is working if she sees this hit me up. ella was cool but i could smell her from the other side of the store
5 STARS... Quality great Communication perfect following instructions to the T thank you to the team at cold rock .
Yummy icecream. Everyone knows how Cold Rock Ice Cream works so I don't need to explain. The two ladies were flat out busy when I came in to order ice cream, I noticed the tables could of had a wipe down clean. Not enough time or opportunity for the two staff members to keep the place COVIDSafe clean, maybe they need to add another staff member on the floor.
Super generous portions. Very friendly staff. In addition to the usual suspect flavours, you get some unique ones that you don't get everywhere like Christmas Pudding, Turkish Delight and Bailey's. Best check and go as some of these might be seasonal.
The ice cream is grossly overpriced. After paying for my two son’s single scoop cups with gunmy bears and my own vanilla cone I had spent almost $25. Were the ice cream of higher quality I would have no problem with this price point, but my vanilla cone tasted like it had been scooped off of the uncleaned floor and both of my sons complained about the measly servings of gummi bears they had received. Undoubtedly this store’s only saving grace was the lovely red-haired lady serving us. She was so sweet and smiley not to mention, great with the young ones and her interaction made my entire night, despite my quarrel with the ice cream itself. If that beautiful young lady had been making and pricing the ice cream herself this store would likely be a unanimous 5 stars from the Schiemer family, however in it’s current state I will have to give Ice Cream a 0/5 stars and customer service a 5/5. Averaging out at 2.5 stars, you will be receiving a 3 stars from me today. Consider yourselves lucky.
This is one of the best Cold Rocks I have visited. The shop was full but there were plenty of staff and they worked quickly and were very polite and obliging. The ice cream was as good as ever.
This is the second time I've taken my kids in there and felt rushed to order and not only was the girl extremely rude there were boring flavours of ice cream and when we ask for mix ins it was a HUGE hassle. All the staff in there can't even greet their customers nicely or crack a smile. The majority of workers are young and never have a name badge on. Lucky to the blonde girl that served me wasn't wearing one as I would have contacted the manager today about her appalling service. Even my young children said everyone were rude so what does that tell you. Maybe train your staff a lot better but when I think about it why bother when you are the only cold rock in Ballarat you always know you will have customers.
