The Japanese pancake was a very big disappointment. Definitely not freshly cooked, it is premade, oily, stale, small in portion and most certainly reheated, missing the sweet soy/teriyake sauce and gave one tiny drop of mayonnaise. Absolutely tasteless for $10! Not worth the price and i should have followed my gut instincts and ordered a toastie instead which is cheaper and expected to be worth it. Total let down, guys!! It costs $4-$5 at the shopping centre takeouts and they're alot more larger, more fillings, always put the mayo and sauce and definitely fresh!!!!! Ice chocolate was mediocre but the bacon and egg roll was atleast abit more tasteful.
Maybe it was just a bad day. Larks of Joy was closed. I thought I’d try here instead. Not a great experience unfortunately. The coffee was pretty meh, I thought. Ordinary brew and I considered throwing it out. Service was under par as well. The server seemed bored and disinterested. Certainly there was no engagement. It felt as cold as the looming winter. Pretty ordinary space here as well even though it’s a prime corner site. Very limited menu too. I don’t like giving negative reviews but you have to call it as you see it. I can’t see any positives from this experience apart from them being open on a Monday. Maybe it’s just one of those places that is happy to service nearby businesses and isn’t that fussed about passing trade. I won’t be back especially as there are so many other good cafes in the vicinity.
Pretty good for a small business , really enjoy the bacon and egg rolls! Ink burger looks great and tastes pretty good
These guys have the best bacon and egg roll I have ever had. And I have had quite a few. Great roll, good amount of bacon, a little burger cheese which adds a wonderful mouth feel and flavour, a touch of tomato sauce and a perfectly cooked egg. Oh an grab a coffee too for 8 dollars for both. Sensational. Keep it up!
Great food. Sue, the chef, is delightful and there’s something very lovely about the space.
Tasty and beautiful food! Great service!!
Their Egg and Bacon toastie is the best I've had in ages. Chock full of egg, chock full of Bacon. So many cafe's don't know how to make a great bacon sandwich, thank goodness for Coffee Ink! The coffee is also really top notch.
Great coffee and breakfast and friendly staff.
Bought the $8 coffee and b+E roll. Quick, polite service. Very tasty and good roll. Coffee tasted great. Only took s few minutes to make during our lockdown. Will be back for a sit-down when we open up again. Thanks
I really like the simplicity of their coffee & food : Friendly staff and delicious comfy food <3
