Coastal Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic is a well-established physiotherapy clinic which Ian Harris origin ally started in Parkwood but has since moved to a more central location on the outskirts of Southport. Ian started the practice in Parkwood over ten years ago bringing with him over 20 years of experience from around the world. The Approach adopted by Ian has evolved as a result of current research trends, changes in sporting and lifestyle trends and exercise approaches to produce an all encompassing, individual and progressive adaptable treatment for everyone. The result is a cost-effective, comprehensive and professional treatment to get you back doing everything that you need to do. Coastal Physio is known for a simple, common sense approach based on an individual assessment and individual circumstances. After suffering from back pain as a result of poor deadlifting form, I came to this practice. The reviews are outstanding for a reason. Ian is fantastic at what he does and goes out of his way to ensure he not only solves the issue, but prevents future injury from occurring. I went in for a back injury, which was sorted after the second session, but have been returning even since because he  has also fixed much of the pain caused by my scoliosis. Highly recommend this practice.

I have been to my fair share of physio and physical therapists and can honestly say that Ian has been the best by fair. I experienced a severe hip injury and did not see much improvement after spending a significant amount of time and money at another physical therapist. A friend recommended Ian, and I was immediately impressed by his ability to not only diagnose my injury, but explain it to me in a way I could understand. He made sure I understood his instructions and answered all of my questions. I also appreciated his professionalism and friendliness. I have since visited Ian for multiple injuries and feel that he truly cares for his patients and wants to see them improve physically and mentally. I am more than willing to make the long drive to Parkwood for a physio he really knows his stuff and is personable, as well. I highly recommend Ian and Coastal Physiotherapy team if you are in the Gold Coast area.

Being a jockey comes with a lot of highs. The thrill of a big win. The satisfaction of getting a job done. Even seeing smiles on successful punters.
Along with those highs comes a lot of lows, mainly working in a high risk job, when the worst low happens it is usually a bad fall. 
I've had a lot of highs but also had some bad falls. At one stage my career looked over after a serious shoulder injury.
I didn't want it to end that way so, off to Ian and the team at Coastal physio I galloped. I had been there a number of times before for other injuries,  and he always gets me back out on the track quickly. So after a couple of operations and some shoulder renovation from Ian, I made it back to the saddle after being told by a specialist that my career as a jockey was over.
Ian's ability to try every angle of being a physiotherapist (including reflexology, acupuncture and chiropractic work) is what sets him apart from every other practitioner I have been to see. I started with him roughly 8 years ago and have never looked to see any other physio since.
His friendly personality and excellent choice in support staff also make the experience of attending appointments very easy.
I sincerely hope that anyone that chooses to seeing Ian and Steve at coastal physio after reading this has as much success with them as I have had.

I went to Coastal Physiotherapy with a sprained ankle from playing netball. I was treated by the physiotherapist Steven Stringer. Steven was a well mannered well informed physiotherapist who treated me professionally and effectively. Coastal Physiotherapy clinic has exceptional staff who do there utmost to give you the care you need whilst still being caring and professional. I found the Coastal Physiotherapy a fantastic establishment and would highly recommend it to family and friends.

I have been going to Coastal Physiotherapy now for about 4 years for various specific injuries and also general "maintenance". As a boxer, working my way through the Amateur ranks then turning Professional, I have had a variety of injuries and need regular appointments. I have been Ian's client for most of the time, but have also seen Stephen on a few occasions. Ian is proactive in educating me how to avoid and manage my injuries, and this has allowed me to progress in my sport. I highly recommend the Coastal Physio team for any Physio needs.
