Great local leagues club. Amazing pokie room, hundreds of machines like a little casino! Cheap drinks and food cocktails were great. Ample parking, cheap membership and good vibes all around! Seems like they have a lot on too like bingo and quiz nights etc and lots of tvs and bar areas for viewing all kinds of sport as well as a family friendly dining room.
Nice club, clean and spacious. Food comes out pretty quickly and good service. They have steak night and the rump is decent. I usually get the chips and salad with it and garlic prawn or onion ring topper. Mushroom sauce is more like a gravy. The steamed veges are quite bland and mash is alright.
The nightly specials have recently changed and no longer worth it. My parmi was falling apart, not worth the price. Somethings changed from the last time I came a year or 2 ago. Can be a long wait too
Went there last Sunday to get my favourite meal, Half Ribs only to pay more money for a disappointing dish. The ribs were under cooked barely pink in colour and I should have realised when I tried to cut the meat away from the bone, how hard it was rather then falling off the bone. Previous visits this meal was fantastic. Won't be back.
If you are coming here for a nice lunch or dinner, it is 50/50 what is served on your plate. The chefs are hopeless at cooking steak and roasts. Roast pork is always overcooked, and the cracking is burnt to the point that it will break your teeth. Steak is not often cooked to your desired liking. Vegetables are obviously frozen and then boiled with not much flavour. I have sent many meals back to the kitchen and advised the managers many times how unsatisfactory the meals are, but nothing changes. Recently, I have found pieces of Alfoil in my beef casserole. It has been like this for more than a year now, and I am a regular visitor. The meal prices are equal to other clubs but have better meals elsewhere. The photos show Alford in beef casserole and a rump steak as served, with a big hole in the steak.
