Story

Yoga is a great way to balance your life,and improve health and fitness for body, mind and spirit.
Carmela is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and offers 6 different classes a week on most evenings and Saturday morning.
City Yoga Zone is located in the lovely harbour room attached to the Anglican Cathedral in the Darwin CBD, on the corner of The Esplanade and Smith Street.
6 week Beginners courses are conducted throughout the year and it is essential to reserve a space for these. Also offering general classes and one on one lessons. Corporate Yoga and School groups by arrangement.

After practising yoga all over the world for the past 20 years, I appreciate a yoga teacher that will instruct and push me to continually grow and learn with my yoga practise. Carmela is a fabulous yoga teacher and the venue is in a convenient city setting with a beautiful tropical outlook. Highly recommended

I come yearly to Darwin for several weeks and my joy in the last 8 years has been attending City Zone Yoga. Carmela is a superb Iyengar teacher and her technique and demonstration have kept my mind/body connected and strong. It is my prized holiday from Melbourne to Darwin and City Zone Yoga. Thanks Carmela

I joined city yoga zone last year. I had suffered a major back injury and felt that I couldnt keep up with my usual yoga class without crying in pain. I felt like I had no where to turn. Thank god I found Carmela because she took every avenue possible to help me back to health. I was pretty useless at the start but she was so patient and kind with providing specfic poses that would get my hip back in line again. Iv been to many yoga schools around Australia and Ireland but I have never found a more effective and thorough teacher. She is amazing at what she does. Thank you for everything Carmela x
