Stay here at your own risk. If you have the pleasure of checking in with the young female staff member, well let's just say she is as rude and uncooperative and not by any measure suited to be front desk staff. And though the rooms are roomy and decent when you come and go you will be running the guantlett of discarded syringes and addicts injecting themselves behind your car in the hotel carpark. So as the reception closes at 8pm and reopens at 8am your on your own. There is no security, doors are always unlocked and you are at the mercy of whatever this area throws at you. It's relatively cheap, yes and close to CBD but I think there are far better options, try it once and you'll see the places has issues, can be just how some people like it . But not this guest, I left this place and vowed to never ever stay there again.

Recently stayed at the east city hotel in langridge st. It's cheep however I feel there are a few things to point out. The showerscreen was broken, I fixed it by reading attaching it's runners myself. The bar fridge was next to the shower with a broken screen. I'm not sure if this would be a potential safety Hazard but to me seemed unsafe. A takeaway drink container was left in the vanity cupboard. No towels were in the room. When the room was cleaned the next day only 1 was left and 2 people were staying. The air conditioning unit didn't heat the room properly. Again pointing out that it was cheap but I still think that minimum standards were not met.

Good location for my purposes, generally quiet. Housekeeping needs improvement, did minimal cleaning during my stay of a week (I heard a vacuum but it obviously was never brought into my room). Breakfast was not supplied one day because I was in my room till 1.30 (sign in room says housekeeping hours are 10 thru 2). But usually breakfast for two supplied when there was only me. Water taps in shower require millimetre precise adjustment to get temperature right, but I guess that's not uncommon. Newspaper used to be available in the courtyard, nowhere in evidence this stay. Also no soap or shape suppliedi initually but when I asked some was happily obtained.
