This relatively new Korean restaurant offers the ubiquitous BBQ over hot flame and several other dishes mostly based on soup or hot pot. The meat for the BBQ are very well marinaded and are well chosen for cooking over the wire rack. Do be warned that while the pork belly is very tasty, it can be quite fatty, The seafood soup is nice and spicy but not over the top. The seafood pancake is a little heavy and slightly doughy. Their homemade kimchi is delicious. Their menu is basically 1 page long so there are limited options. Have a look at the menu first before you commit. Service is friendly and efficient but hurried. The wait staff will stop and make sure the BBQ is under control or the hot pot is moving along but it also means that they have more on their plate and service can become patchy.
This place just opened in Gordon and Im glad we gave this place a go. We were told that they make the kimchi fresh every morning. Very tasty and authentic. I personally enjoy fresh kimchi over fermented kimchi. The bulgogi hotpot and seafood pancake was delicious. Kids loved it. I've never tried beef belly before, but friends who tried it highly recommended it. They didn't have some of the typical dishes you would expect from a Korean restaurant, hence 4 stars, but we were told they were in a process of adding more dishes.
6th time visiting and my husband and the family again really enjoyed the bbq , Korean hot pots and the dumplings. The girls were really friendly and so good with our children as always thank you!!!. . As usual I had the marinated pork not so sweet and overly covered with soy sauce like most Korean places and my daughters had the wagyu beef and pork belly. Omg great delicious meat as always. Make sure you book a table for the weekends. Thanks Luke and Liz for being so opened and polite about our feedback and the delicious food once again. Cheers!
Great authentic Korean food with a humble owner who regularly checks up on customers and asks about their meal. Great experience, nothing less than the finest Korean BBQ in Gordon. I will be returning soon, hungry for more.
Been here 3 times for dinner in the past couple of weeks and every time has been a delight. Korean food isn't normally my first preference but this place has won me over as my local go-to with its amazing hospitality, quality cheap food, comfy atmosphere and yummy sides. They have 4-5 sides normally kimchi, fish cake, flavoured seaweed, sesame bean sprouts and this pickled radish thing. While the food is very tasty and cheap have tried Mushroom Bulgogi Hotpot, Kimchi Pork Belly Stew, Seafood Pancake, Pork Bibimbap, Dumplings, it's definitely the service that has been an absolute stand out. Waiters and owner constantly come over to check that everything is alright, that you're enjoying yourself, if there's anything they can do for you and to chat as well. Sides and drinks are refilled immediately and with a smile. I always look forward to coming here because I am made to feel welcome. Thanks a lot!!
Very poor quality Korean restaurant. Starting from the very disappointing range and quality of the side dishes Including their 'own' Kimchi, which was actually on sale as well! Didn't buy it It culminated with the main/signature dish of Bulgogi jeongol like large hotpot which was one of the most disappointing dishes I have had in a long while. I actually felt sorry for the other customers ordering it as our group shook our heads at the bland taste and poor composition of the not-cheap dish. You can do a lot better in a lot of other Korean restaurants around Sydney. Take the glowing 5* reviews with a grain of salt. Yes, I was tricked as well. Trust the 'honest' reviews which do exist on this particular forum.
When I entered this restaurant and checked the menu, I could feel something wrong.. There're lots of better Korean restaurants in Sydney and I expected this restaurant would be like those. But, It was my fault within just 20 seconds once I saw the menu. I ordered bulgogi hotpot because I didn't have any choice. Let me tell you, it was terrible. I will never go here as long as the menu and the price aren't improved.
Excellent service! Menu is not fancy but good enough for a delicious bbq dinner. Very happy to have a local Korean BBQ place!
Really good service and delicious korean food! : The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming : The Kimchi stew is amazing as are the dumplings :
One of the best restaurants in th area. Very specialised menu - but I go there to cook up the Beef Belly woo gyup sal? and Kimchi stew. Friendly bunch of staff. highly recommended :
