Never judge a book by its cover. This place looks a little rustic from the outside and in but the food and service was excellent. Initially we couldn’t find the restaurant on busy Sussex street - so rang the restaurant. The waitress was great and sent a Google maps link with the address to my phone. Sorted. And nice touch. Felt welcomed already before setting foot in the place. We ordered Kung Po Chicken spicy and Pork and Chive dumplings with some steamed rice on the side. The food arrived quickly and super hot and fresh. The serves were huge. Too much in fact for the two of us to finish. The chicken was perfect not too hot. The dumplings fresh and tasty. Couldn’t fault either dish. The service start to finish was A1. Highly recommended.
Visited Chinatown Noodle King as part of a Chinatown Taste Tour. Loved it so much that I returned a few days later with the family. From outside and interior, the restaurant doesn't look like much, but the food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. The sweet and sour pork is incredible. The pan-fried chicken and chive dumplings, chicken hand-made noodles, and beef fried rice were also excellent. Highly recommend and will be back for more.
Best ever Chinese cuisine you will find in the town. Just try to be there a bit early because its always busy. The mutton ribs is must try and its comes with so much spices. You will be licking your finger. The dumplings are best as well. If you want to go with your family, book the table before you go. I have posted the dumplings and ribs photos down.
A delicious, yet unassuming eatery on Sussex Street, in the middle of busy Chinatown. It should be noted that the prices in the window are a little higher, and haven’t been changed in some time, but the food is delicious, and the quality is consistently high. Furthermore, at the time of writing, the restaurant also offers a 5% discount for Cash Payment, something to keep in mind when coming in for some noodles or dumplings.
Better dumplings in Sydney you will not get. The food is brilliant and the service is quick and efficient. The noodles are hand made you can see in the kitchen and are delicious. It is a little rough and ready but it is quick, great value, and delicious. You can also take frozen dumplings home.
This was the loudest dining experience I've ever had. Bring your BFFs and yell at them! Many things were unavailable but it wasn't hard to find something delicious. The fresh dumplings were perfect and a plate of stir fried beans has never been so appetising. It was also my first experience of rice whisky, which was on key with the meal. Possibly the most fun I've had dining ever.
Menu in photos As always, great food in a convenient location at the heart of the city. The pan fried dumplings are what keeps me and friends coming back. Other share plates are great as well, however not too spicy e.g. Kung Pao chicken which is meant to be spicy.Food: 5/5
The food here was alright but the prices really didn’t add up and we may have been overcharged. As seen in the images with two cans of coke, we were charged $120ish with the 5% off for cash payment. What let this place down was probably the service as there were strong miscommunication as we were missing a set of cutlery and a cup and it took a few times before they were able to figure it out. They also did the thing where they have an underaged child serving things here and there. True Asian experience.
Great place to come to if you like spicy food at a good price. Most of the dishes are spicy. Hot. Lamb and fish are more expensive. The two dishes we had were squid and sweet and sour fish. We didnt expect the fish to be fried in batter. Great tasting though. The place was very busy.
Girl was very welcoming however once we ordered our food everything came separately and 10 minutes after each other. Other tables were getting their food before after ordering after us. Quantity for the cost was not worth it and the food did not taste great at all! Dirty dishes left everywhere and the place is so run down. Terrible experience.
