Unfortunately, my chicken parmigiana was awful. It was dry, chewy and didn't have enough sauce.nnWe ordered an extra sauce for the steak and we were happy to pay. However, the size of the sauce is in a small condiment tub and is simply not worth it.nnService was good.nI think overall it's a bit overpriced.
Disappointing and Hostile Experience at Cheltenham RSL Restaurant.nnMyself and three of my close friends visited Cheltenham RSL restaurant on Sunday, November 17, 2024 intending to have a nice and friendly evening.nnAs it happened we were thoroughly disappointed with the food and the attitude of a middle aged female manager who came to our table shouting abuses and finger pointing after a complaint was made about my and one of my friend’s meals.nnThe complaint was that the flounder on menu was substituted with Sole fish.nnApart from Flounder being substituted with Sole fish the veggies were undercooked and tasteless.nnAfter the initial complaint was made, a middle aged female, who identified herself as the manager approached the table. She was armed with a horrible attitude, including shouting and finger pointing, completely ignoring our complaint but was determined to defend their food and service.nnShe was very unfriendly, inattentive, overwhelmed, uninterested, unapologetic and downright nasty.nnUnfortunately, our experience was a letdown on that evening. For the prices they charge, I expected the food we ordered and attentive and friendly service.nnMy rating:nn- Food Quality: 0 out of 10,n- Initial service: 5 out of 10,n- Value: 0 out of 10n- Atmosphere: 5 out of 10nnIn order to improve and get me and my friends back there to that place I would suggest the following:nn- Train staff to provide attentiveness and friendly customer service,n- Revamp menu to include fresher, tastier and as per the menu options,n- Don’t substitute things on the menu with different or lower quality items.nnAs is, in all honesty, until Cheltenham RSL restaurant improve, especially with attitude of their staff, I would advise others to avoid this restaurant at any cost, because if you complain about the food or service there, you will be abused by their staff, in particular, by a middle aged female manager.
Good food, fast service and friendly staff. Last minute decision to pop in for dinner.nAs a member, we frequent the RSL. Never disappoints.
Meals are very expensive, my Parma was dry and I've come here a couple of times. Only thing I liked was the friendly staff, but seems they are overworked and undervalued. As a patron, it appears this establishment cares more about profits than hospitality and connection with staff and community. Would recommend finding other local small businesses to enjoy a bite and pleasant atmosphere if you enjoy a good overall experience in which you feel welcomed and appreciated.
