Charcoal Charlies Willoughby has been a favourite of mine for a long time, and it still does a great job. The salads are one of the things I enjoy most. They always have a really good selection, everything looks fresh, and the flavours are spot on. Whether you want something light or something to fill out your meal, there’s always a good option.nnThe dinner boxes are also great, especially the quarter chicken box. It’s surprisingly generous and honestly enough for two people if you’re not too hungry. The chicken is always tender and has that classic charcoal flavour that keeps me coming back.nnThe service has consistently been friendly as well. The staff are polite, quick, and seem to genuinely care about getting orders right. Even when the place is busy, they move things along without making you feel rushed.nnI’ll admit it’s not quite the value it used to be, and the prices have gone up over the years, but that feels true almost everywhere now. Even so, Charcoal Chicken Willoughby is still a reliable and tasty option when you want a good, no-fuss meal. It remains one of my go-to spots in the area.

I’m a big fan of the chargrill franchise, and so naturally I tried the Willoughby location for the first time. Loved the atmosphere, and the food was great as always. I always enjoy getting a few extra pieces of chicken too.nnI recommend getting chips with the chicken schnitzel. Though, the menu has lots else to offer.

I was a CC newbi- and a bit skeptical that the food could be healthy. The tabouli salad and the roast vege salad were generous and fresh. The beef brisket was tasty and tender. And chicken was tasty, not dry. The shoe string chips were basic.nThe price? Really fair  and the quantities generous. We got 2 meals to watch there  plus 2 takeaways - $50!nIm a CC fan.

Best place for chicken, chips and salad. Great staff that are friendly and always provide excellent service

Not what it used to be - ruined by private equity I’d say.nCloses up early, food is cold and crap quality. Chips are different……
