Great atmosphere, food and service! Ordered the seafood platter and surf n turf and could barely finish it there was so much food, all delicious. Got to cook my scotch fillet, prawns and scallops exactly how I wanted them on the stone grill which was fun, and they were all mouth-watering! Our waiter Amy was very attentive and friendly! Overall, a great experience! Highly recommend!
Great food! Awesome drinks menus and friendly staff. A fairly casual setting but the food was pretty top notch. The vibe was nice on a weeknight and it was pretty packed so definitely need to book in advance.
The food is AMAZING. LOVED EVERYTHING I ordered. Keep up the good work! I will definitely be back again for good food. The only improvement would be on customer service. Some wait staff were friendly but a few looked uninterested and did not smile. Maybe overworked since the restaurant is always busy.
Needed an early dinner as we were flying out later that night. Read the reviews and booked 5pm, so glad we did. The staff were so attentive and accommodating. Our waiter was fantastic in presenting the menu and options. The food was just amazing and beautifully presented. We will definitely be back on our next Tasmanian holiday. Thank you for making this dinner a fantastic experience as the last part of our last Tasmanian holiday!
Highly recommend! A great experience at Chinese year eve! Ordered the seafood platter, eye fillet on the stone, pizza and dessert. Amazing atmosphere,service and food! Our waitress Jocobbie was very attentive and friendly!
Fantastic customer service from start to finish. Food was explained well and options were plentiful. Entrees were well presented and good size portions. The Surprise Me mains was better than I'd expected and absolutely bursting with flavours that went well with each other. Dessert the reason we all love Cateract on Paterson was full of flavour, well presented and fun to eat. Thanks for a fantastic experience for our daughters 18th.
Loved it! We ordered the seafood platter for 2 and weren't disappointed. It was delicious, as was the cocktail. The only thing I would change is the spacing between tables. We were seated next to a big table and it felt like we were all sitting at the same table.
The gimmick for this place is sending your meat out on a 400 degree paver and cooking it yourself while you eat it. And it's amazing. I had the paddock to stone beef, lamb and chicken and it was amazing. All the meat was tender and juicy. Only complaint that was entirely my own fault was that I left some chicken on the stone a little longer than I should have and it had started to dry out. For dessert I had the Mushroom and my partner had the koala.... wild koalas need to be careful, the cream and sponge flesh was amazing. Service was top notch. We weren't waiting long for anything even though the page was packed an we were surprised to find ourselves leaving only an hour after we had sat down. Do yourselves a favour.
Amazing food, amazing service, great local wine list and great vibes. After a long day of hiking in Cradle Mountain, we were really hoping Caract would deliver. And deliver they did. It was a perfect ending to a long day. Will be back again for sure.
The cocktails were amazing, and the dessert looked great but was a bit bland flavour-wise. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with interesting 'light' themed decor throughout. Seating was a bit cramped but I attended with a very large group.
