Ordered medium well rump steak - received well done steak. Not good. Good customer service. High ceiling nice ambience. Easy ordering & payment system. Heaps parking spaces. Menu priced accordingly.
We went to RSL to have lunch, it is a nice place, nice staff, clean, great for kids, but the food was very disappointing! That’s why I’m giving 2 stars! The burger looked good, and I was excited, but it couldn’t be more dry! The patty tasted like a fat only, vet bad taste! And pork belly was not that crispy. Overall expensive for what you get I think. It’s literally a fast food with a limited option and not good quality!
Plenty of options for table space indoor and out. Nice atmosphere, great food, good price.. mon/tues/wed kids eat free with some pretty good options for them rigatoni ragu WINNING!
Always very polite staff and clean facilities. Bar staff go above and beyond. We came for my small cousin's 12th birthday and the kids were entertained all night with the very impressive kids area and play equipment. We were sat outside on a cool night but all took our jackets off as we were almost too warm with the extensive outdoor heating provided. They used to have quite creative vegan options which I was looking forward to but these have since become the literal same menu as other clubs in the area owned by the same company. In saying that, I am grateful to be catered for past chips and a salad, and the vegan Indian Curry was delicious. My mum had the vegan Pho which also looked nice both pictured. We didn't try the vegan Burger because we both hate beetroot. Across the table, my cousin ordered a steak here as medium rare and it came out well done and VERY charcoaled. He sent it back to get another which was a bit pinker on the inside but the outside was again, a blackened charcoaled mess. He was scared to send it back a second time so just dealt with it but made the comment that it was the literal worst steak he had ever experienced. I would suggest your team learns how to cook a steak properly or at least the cooks that were on the 15th October night shift.
Very disappointing pizzas. Both normal and gluten free like soggy pancakes. I’m really hoping mine was GF as they were very similar. So expensive for a very disappointing meal. And very little gluten free options for celiacs. Steak or protein? But salad not gf? My girls wouldn’t eat the pizzas.
One of the best RSL clubs that I have been to, Wide range of selections for both food and drink, reasonable prices, a big play ground for children and spacious lounges, courtyards and a great place for a friends and family gathering. A great Gym with many equipmrnts, Spa, swimming pool, stream sauna.
" Plant Based Beetroot Burger"... sounds appetising! BOY was i wrong! Attached is a photo of the less than sub standard vegan burger i was presented with. I did not eat it, my dogs eat better than that! I went home hungry and disappointed. Lift your game RSL. It is not difficult to make a decent Vegan burger!
Good points come first, the playground is awesome, my children and their friends enjoyed it very much. However, the staff who looks like in charge at countryyard today30/11/2022, Night Shift was not friendly and polite at all. Yes, we ordered main course with free kid meal, the amount of the pasta was way too little compared with another serve on our table and when I went back and check with him, there was no apology, not even a word just let me stood there and wait! Very disappointed. And then I got it back and it seemed like the same that I returned. In this whole time, I did not hear a word of apologies at all. The pork belly roast was dry, hard and very salty. My girl’s cheeseburger was under cooked. Customer service! Food quality! Please make it a nice place for local community and people to enjoy!
Great venue, very smooth COVID sign in process which was quick, and the food was great. Lots of options, including for the vegetarian in our group. Thoroughly enjoyed the meals, I had a pizza, and here's a picture of the beef rib burger one of us ordered, certainly made an impression. All in all had a good night out here. Revisited recently and sadly some of the burgers are gone from their main food area with the opening of the Short Cut restaurant I assume, but I had a pizza instead, the Chicken and Avocado which was excellent. My wife got a vegan curry which she said was also very good and very filling which isn't always the case with vegetarian/vegan meals. I would continue to recommend Castle Hill RSL. We also enjoyed some drinks and the service was quick and good. Great Club that has lots of parking.
We came here on Monday on a work related visit, and what an awesome venue it is. It certainly has the wow factor! Happy, friendly staff, nice eateries, a champion kids play area, is very family friendly. Kudos to Eric + Sonia from catering, in the way a query was positively handled, they are a credit to the club! 10 out of 10 for Castle Hill RSL. Thank you, Achilles
