Story

Carlos Cantina is an independent Mexican restaurant.
We are not one of those run-of-the-mill franchise outlets nor are we one of those pretentious celebrity chef restaurants with hefty prices to match.
The people behind Carlos Cantina are simply a bunch of Mexican food lovers who are passionate about serving freshly prepared value for money Mexican tucker to our guests. We love what we do and we hope it shows in our food and service.

The staff here are fantastic.
The food is even better.

The interior has been completely revamped from when it was Taco Bill's, updated, more modern, better quality seating and a bit more room with the removal of the big wagon from the middle of the floor.

The menu is very similar to Taco Bill's and Viva in Croydon, however, the quality of the food is far better than either of those.

The parts that are able to be made fresh, from scratch, taste as though they are. The salsa, all the meats are slow cooked, stewed, it's not premade and stuck in a microwave, it's made from scratch and tastes fantastic.

Visited your Croydon restaurant  last night 16th February  to celebrate my Birthday with my son and daughter-in-law and my daughter and her fiance. None of us had dined at your restaurant ever before. Will we all come back again? YOU BET WE WILL!!! Wonderful service all night, fantastic food and drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff  keep up the terrific service and food!!  I never rate anything 10/10 but last night staff and food thoroughly deserved top marks!  Thank you so much.

Food was just over rated ☹️ We were not happy with everything we ordered we never finished a meal that was served. Would never go back and would never recommend it to anyone. The dishes were overcooked, seasoning was just lacking, portion sizes were a bit small. Service was a bit slow and the staff were just not attentive to the diners.
