The menu features the typical dishes you’d expect from a Mexican restaurant, along with a good selection of drinks. Service is impressively quick given the number of guests during lunch hours, but booking in advance is highly recommended; otherwise, you may face a long wait before being seated.
Their lamb taco tastes the closest to the ones I had in Mexico. I've been looking for lamb tacos for many years and tried from many places and I can say theirs is the best! And, the fish taco has the sauce that goes really well with the fried fish. Their chicken burrito is also highly recommended.nI finished the lamb taco literally in a minute and had to immediately order another one lol.
Had dinner at Fonda Flinders Street last night and everything was spot on. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly.nnThe tacos were excellent – especially the Baja Snapper, Crispy Prawn, and Grilled Chicken. The Lamb Shoulder Quesadilla and the new Slow Cooked Beef Birria were packed with flavour, and the Tasmanian Lamb Burrito was another highlight. We also really enjoyed the Jalapeno Cheese Bites and the Smoky Mac & Cheese Croquettes.nnGreat experience overall – we’ll definitely be coming back.
We recently ordered a lunch pack from Fonda Mexican for 25 people, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was incredibly tasty, fresh, and authentically Mexican! Every single person loved it.The packaging was done exceptionally well, making distribution easy and ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition.nnA special mention to Adiel, the General Manager, who was absolutely fantastic to deal with. He was extremely patient, understanding, and accommodating, especially with multiple order changes. Adiel kept me constantly updated, offered us a great rate, and made the entire process smooth and stress free. His professionalism and customer service truly stood out!nnWe highly recommend Fonda Mexican to any company or organisation looking to arrange corporate lunches or dinners. Amazing food, excellent service, and a team that genuinely cares. We’ll definitely be ordering again! On behalf of CIEE Melbourne a big thank you to Adiel and his team!
The food was ok but not the service. I ordered a lunch for pickup and when I arrived there was a lady I believe she might be the manager at the small counter next to the entrance stairs where you wait to be seated. She saw me but ignored me or even ask if I had a booking or seating, etc. She continue to tap on the LCD screen at the counter for another 2 min before just walking off to the back of the place. I waited for another 3 min before heading to the counter where people order drinks from and ask the staff I ordered a lunch to be picked up. That staff was more helpful and polite and got my order.
