Our beloved cat Hondo was hit by a car in Mt Sheridan yesterday and was seen running into a storm water drain in our street. Upon our call to the Fire Station the wonderful guys & gals came to our street and searched the drains for us. He was nowhere to be seen. Thankfully he did eventually come home and is currently undergoing surgery for a broken jaw. A big thank you to the people at Cairns South Fire Station in eliminating the possibility that our poor cat was badly injured in the storm water drains. Us people in South Cairns are very lucky to have caring & dedicated first responders. Thanks again guys.
