A friend and I were waiting in line to pay for our drinks when another man came up to the other side of the counter. When it was our turn, the server gestured to the other man to come up to the counter and pay. The other customer said that he knew we were first. The server (who was generously older) said 'no don't worry, I have to ID them, frisk them and pat them down' before giving us a wink. The other buyer clearly felt awkward on our behalf.

When the customer left, the server then went on to say 'sorry, you guys just look terribly, terribly young'...at this point I was thinking, 'if we look so young to you, don't proposition me with a pat down,' but held my tongue as I was embarassed and to be quite frank, just wanted my alcohol.
