I'm delighted to share my experience, and review Bupa Aged Care facility Runaway Bay. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the General Manager Mandy Kaur and the kind and helpful staff. The facility's ambiance is light, open and inviting, creating an immediate sense of calmness. The level of care provided to the residents is very evident and truly remarkable; the staff are so dedicated and compassionate. The facility has a huge emphasis on individual care and the various engaging activities showcase their commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life. The cleanliness and organization of the facility are impeccable. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the care and support my friend receives at Bupa Runaway Bay. I’d like to truly congratulate General Manager Mandy Kaur for her exceptional management of the home. It's truly a place where residents' well-being and happiness are at the forefront. Six stars from me!
I highly recommend Bupa, Runaway Bay. My Mum has been there since 2019. The staff are amazing, the lifestyle team organise lots of fun activities and the food is tasty. And I’m very happy with management.
When my mother had to make the decision to move from her home to Aged Care, it was a move she really didn't want to make, but she knew it had to be made. After visiting almost all Aged Care facilities from Broadbeach to Hope Island, she, and the family, felt that BUPA at Runaway Bay was the best fit. It has a homely feel, with a modern look, and such friendly staff. The rooms are big enough for a few pieces of home furniture. They made the transition as stress free as possible. The facility is always immaculate inside and out. All the staff, whether they be from Admin, the Care team, or the maintenance, cleaning, or kitchen teams, always greet you with a smile, and a quick chat if they aren't busy. Communication regarding mum's care and needs was always prompt and informative, and when anything needed to be addressed, they welcomed feedback and suggestions. We couldn't recommend this establishment more highly
My mother spent 6 awful months in this BUPA Runaway Bay facility before her death in March 2021. As a former nurse, my advice would be to run as far away as you can from any BUPA facility if this is an example of aged care in Bupa and I think this facility is not aberration. Without hyperbole, Bupa Runaway Bay's total incompetence, lack of compassion, and inability to take responsibility for negligence makes the case for medically assisted dying and to just skip going to an aged care home. If this is an example of aged care in Australia, then we are in deep trouble and I fear for my own end of life arrangements. Some of the staff are nice, others indifferent, but overall Management is only interested in the money they can make out of the "inmates". My relative is not treated with dignity by Management. The decisions made by Management are effecting her mental health and well being. The activities are also demeaning to any person who has has capacity or any self respect.
Stylish and safe aged care home, designed for client welfare and wellness. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, quality rooms, quality meals, designer gardens and amenities.
I am happy with everything at Bupa Runaway bay. They look after my wife really well and she has been here since they opened.
Good care, good staff. The Staff Assist Call Alert Syatem though could do with a modification to correct operational deficiencies.
