Budget Car and Truck Rental Camberwell

I hired a car via website. Originally I booked a standard car but at the time of pick up car, it was not available, so they upgraded my booking for 4WD for no additional cost. Staff were also helping. All in all satisfied. The car was also new and working well.

Counter service in the Burke road office is very good and friendly. The operater name Suzie gave me a very unfriendly and impatient service through the phone while I call to ask for bond release that take 7-10days.

Incompetence beyond belief. My experience was a page out of a Seinfeld episode. I pre booked a car 7 days earlier, only to be called 1 hour before pick up on the day to be advised that despite my confirmed booking there was no car for me, but there would be in about 1-2 hours. A couple of unanswered phone calls to them to confirm if there was a car after I waited an hour I gave up and left a message to say that I would pick it up in the afternoon. I called in the afternoon and they confirmed the car was ready for me. So I make my way there, only to get a phone call when I was 1 minute away to say that they don't have a car for me and to try and make it to Richmond (with no car) in half an hour before they close or try coming back again the next morning. My complaint to head office was responded to with a standard response of, "We are sorry for the inconvenience and we will review our internal procedures". It seems that hiring a car from them is like being in a lucky dip or the Seinfeld episode where they can take. take, take bookings but don't actually hold a car for you. If you are in business for a couple of decades hiring out cars and don't understand the concept of a reservation or confirming a couple of times that you have a car when you don't, you have a major problem. i'd recommend looking elsewhere at all costs. N.B. Unfortunately one star is the lowest possible rating Google reviews allow, otherwise it would have been a minus 5 stars.

Great place for renting a 12pax van for when you're picked to cheufer the family around to all the sites.
